We took the menu (25/euro), that has a wide choice of combinations of 4 dishes in the typical Italian tradition. The food is a nice combination of Italian tradition and innovation. The atmosphere is also quite nice. Knowing well the level of restaurants in Rome (we live in Rome),I think this place has excellent quality/price ratio. We'll definitely come back... More

if you want to make an excellant impression when taking people out to dinner - take them to ESTROBAR restaurant !! it's a must try ! again I went there for dinner with frineds from overseas and we were all very happy. I think the fact that you have to book way beforehand says it all !! always good price/quality... More

Visited with my wife in March. Were the first to arrive that evening so had a chance to look around the place. It's a nice place with some nice design ideas. We took the menu (25 euro / head), and for the money the food was decent to good. My stuffed artichoke starter was a bit bland, and the carbonara... More

Not sure what the hype about this place is...it definitely doesn't deserve to be this highly rated on tripadvisor. Given the ambience is nice, the restaurant decor is nice, clientele are there "to be seen"....but the main thing is that the food is AVERAGE at best! Yes, the food is presented really well and looks like you are in a... More

Booked around 1 week before for a valentines dinner with my girlfriend as we came from abroad to visit Rome. The restaurant is not very central so taking a taxi was a must. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted, as they guided us, they put us in the tiny corner able at the end of the restaurant, I... More

After going through a few restaurants on TripAdvisor, I saw Estrobar and decided to book for my girlfriends birthday. After a bit of a trek to get there, we finally found the restaurant and the reservation was acknowledged. Our waitress (Simone) was brilliant. A new menu meant that it was yet to be translated in English. However, Simone took time... More

I couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly. My boyfriend and I booked about a week in advance for a Saturday night in December and the place was packed with locals (one of the great things about this place is that it's not a tourist trap). Its a little bit off the beaten track (about 10 minutes walk from the nearest... More

We had a very lovely meal here for Valentines Day and the food was incredible . This place is off the tourist area and is found in the Testaccio neighbourhood. It is NOT a trattoria or typical Roman restaurant , it calls itself an American Bar and that worried me when I arrived (being American myself I wasn't looking forward... More

We have been yesterday to Escobar, staying in the old city center a taxi ride is necessary but definittaly worth the trouble. The atmosphere in the restaurant is from the start good, it's modern with a pleasant thouch. I read some remarks about half naked women on the wall, think the have a holiday because they are gone right now.... More

...however not a paradise for vegetarians, like any italian restaurant should be. i found the aperitif a bit extravagant at 8 eur. normallly when you pay that in rome you get the full aperitif buffet...which is almost a dinner in itself. as usual in italy, you are never asked whether you want more drinks when your bottle is finished and...
