Mediocre food and slightly annoying ambience

We were hungry after traveling down from Florence so, unusually, decided on this place without reading the reviews first. It's located very well on Piazza Navona very close to our hotel. It's right on the Piazza at the centre of this fun (but touristy) square. Tables are tiny. Service is OK... read more

I reached here when weather was cloudy and soon start heavy rain which force to search shelter in this restaurant right in front of fountain of four river. Excellent food, service, VIEW......everything! Beautiful night. We ordered the most expensive item on the menu: chateau briand. What the heck,,,when in Rome....!!! It was perfect. The chef himself came out to make sure we enjoyed it. We knew this would be very expensive, but we wanted the memory. We were not disappointed at all....worth every penny! All the reviews on... Chief attraction is the location - great for people watching in the Piazza Navona. Food is routine - which is not bad but makes no pretense of being haute cuisine.

This restaurant has a wood oven for pizzas and it definitely makes a difference, the pizzas were very good. Our waiter was excellent, attentive without being irritating. It was an exceptionally hot day and the waiter regularly brought us extra ice to ensure our drinks stayed cold. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Four of us went in to get gelato, we went outside to eat it on their outside seating. The waiter very rudely said "NO". We told him we bought the gelato there and he again rudely said "NO". He said it would cost us 4 Euro to sit outside, 2 to eat it inside at a table. There was no... More

After stumbling across Piaza Navona the night before, we decided to have dinner here for the atmosphere. The food was exquisite and the service was excellent-I had lobster and the waiter was very helpful with explaining how to properly shell it! Was expensive but expected in the Piaza but worth every euro!

The food was mediocre at best -- a penne arabiata that lacked spice and a mixed seafood grill that was more heads, tails, and shells than fish, especially given the price -- 28 euro! And when the waiter indicated that his service was not included in the price -- 48 euro total -- I asked him for change from a... More
