Very Average

We visited this restaurant because of the reviews we had read. We thought it was very average. We had pasta for starters and I had a mixed plate of meats for my main and all I can say was that it was plentiful, there was nothing memorable about the food. We were keen to try this restaurant due to the glowing trip advisor reviews and recommendation from our nearby hotel. We booked an hour in advance and enthusiastically prepared for a date night. What followed was a disappointing night. We were greeted warmly by the waiters and ordered a pasta dish and a sea bass for our mains. The pasta... More

Must say I also found the waiting staff rather pretentious.

The pasta here is very very tasty. We tried 4 different pasta including cecio and pink sauce with prawn. Excellent taste!! Bravo! My mum complained that her pasta is a bit salty for her (her own preference is slightly light taste). He changed the pasta immediately. The staff is very approachable and friendly. We didnt make any reservation. But they... More

The reviews of this restaurant were high and looked very promising so we gave it a chance and payed a visit We were greeted with less than friendly faces and a terrible scent in the air of burnt pizza. The staff were slow and unresponsive however the food was decent thus the "average rating" Also the neighbour is very shady,... More

This little gem certainly didn't disappoint. A quaint little Italian restaurant that you may have walked past - do your self a favour & book a table! The food was delicious & the service was professional & friendly - also with a bit of humour. Highly recommend! It's only small so book a table to avoid disappointment.

This has been my absolute WORST dining experience in Italy. Arrived and there were 8 tables overlooking the water. We were escorted to the back, the furthest away from the splendid view. It got stranger from there. They took the olive oil and vinegar from our table and gave it to others. Next they actually stacked dirty dishes from other... More

The food was merely ok. The service was bad. Went there on hotel's recommendation. There are so many other great places.

Avoid at all costs. Found a piece of metal from a steel scrub in my pasta. Should have taken a photo. That's my mistake. Told the waiter who did not inform any other staff. When another waiter came by and asked I wanted dessert, I let him know about the metal and no I did not want dessert. Just the... More

Service was friendly, food was okay, we've had better for half the price. The only thing memorable about the meal was the bill. Shop around or read our other reviews.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
