Quite expensive vs. others

We were recommended this place by our hotel as it was on the road parallel. It seemed quite small, and it felt like the staff there spend a lot of time watching you eat as there were so many of them for so few tables. We ate here 3 nights running 21 Aug onward. The staff are delightful and the food quite simply the best that we have ever eaten! Try the ravioli with truffle or the turbot with porcini mushrooms both divine!! I challenge anyone to eat here and not fall in love with everything that Cecio offers. Please try Cecio I guarantee that... More

After the staff kindly recommended Cecio we set off with high expectations. A nice restaurant, fully air conditioned, it looked like the staff had set us up with a good place. And they had. Well mostly. The majority of us enjoyed the meal, except one odd individual. This person ordered the Crab ravioli, which resulted in her retching all night.... More

My husband and I visited Rome last week. Our hotel Morgana recommended this restaurant on our first night in Rome and it didn't disappoint. We had a very warm welcome from our waiters. The food was delicious and the staff made our visit memorable. When we left all the staff thanked us. Highly recommend this restaurant. :)

This is a great little restaurant with helpful friendly staff! We started with an anitpasto platter which was just enough for the four of us to kick off the meal. Then we had the truffle ravioli to share as well which was delicious and the porcini pasta, also very good the other dishes we had included beef with mushrooms, fillet... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
