Very enjoyable, good service, good food

Warm welcome, no rush. Had the crab ravioli and companion had the grilled fish platter. Both were good. Had the minestrone for a starter. I've had better in Italy. Without desert but with three glasses of wine it was 70 Euro. Small so best to make a reservation. No outdoor dinning was apparent.

We got the tip to go here from Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. We didnt book and the place was full but we got there just in time to bag a small table by the window. People who came after were turned away so we were lucky. The waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was really chilled. For starters... More

We had spent a long day trip to Amalfi and Pompeii from Rome and wanted to get something to eat on our return to Roma Termini. We searched onTripAdvisor whilst on the train for nearby restaurants on . We found a recent review of this restaurant which seemed good so took the chance of checking it out for ourselves. We... Stumbled across this place for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A great choice of dishes which can be presented very well, all very fresh ingredients too! Would highly recommend the bruschetta and the Ravioli al Tartufo.

Visited trattoria Cecio on several occasions and was never disappointed in the food or the service. All of the servers were extremely friendly and would ask about your day, joke with you, and talk about other places to visit in the city. The food highlights included the tagliata with red wine sauce, fillet with red wine sauce, 4 cheese gnocchi,... More

We stumbled across this local small place. The waiter was so kind and welcoming. I would recommend getting there early as it's very small and popular with locals and tourists alike. We had bruschetta which was stunning. We then had a recommended pasta by the waiter- a creamy tomato mushroom and sausage pasta - Melt in the mouth and so... More

our hotel concierge recommended this place and we were not disappointed. The pasta with lobster was delicious, as was the asparagus risotto. The recommended Frascati and the red wine from Lazio was delicious. Make sure you end your meal with the limoncello!

I am Italian and had dinner with my gf there. The " saltimbocca alla romana" and "bietola" were delicious, but the price was little bit higher than a typical Italian restaurant in Rome. Suggestion: make a reservation, it was packed!

This is the fourth (or fifth?) year we have been here? In their own words, "we just try to add and make it better". They were frankly superb to start with, their consistency excels, the team remains the same, it it an absolute pleasure to go and savour their menu again. Outstanding. More dishes, nothing taken away, more added in... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
