Perfect, authentic italian food, and maybe the best mussels we have ever eaten. Nice and friendly service, not always as a standard in Roma!

Not too touristic, and with lots of roman charme. Amazing quality of food and prizes are more than ok!

Definitely worth the visit, try to make reservations or you might have to wait a bit... Staff is very nice and helpful, prices are very convenient, pasta and white house wine were delicious but the green salad is a bit of a disappointment.. Overall we were glad to have visited this restaurant

Food was very good, huge portions, prices decent. Home wine was also very tasty (contrary to what we drank in other places). Also waiter was super-friendly. We were asked politely in the beginning to finish before 9pm because we didn't have reservation but there was plenty of time so we weren't bothered by that. I didn't like one thing though:... More

Very popular place, good food , good service, affordable prices. Book in advance as it gets busy very fast.

Traditional house serving quality food and excellent service. It has a huge clay oven at the back providing tasty chargrilled food.

This is a big, busy and noisy trattoria located in a sort of dungeon at lower ground floor level serving your typical Roman fare and pizza. The place is overall pretty basic (paper placemats) and overcrowded (you are eating elbow to elbow with people at the next table). While I find that restaurants in Rome often serve portions that are... More

Liked it so much the first night that we came back. Arrive by 7pm if no reservation so you are out by 9pm.

This restaurant is great in the spring and fall time when you can seat comfortably outside looking at Piazza dei Campitelli. For what concern the food it is the typical roman with the addition of one of the best spread antipasti selection I ever saw.

Great authentic Italian food, at a reasonable price. Very often fully booked, so book in advance if possible. Will be back for sure :-)

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
