Andiamo!

Excellent address! Good service and awesome food that cheered us up after an epic fail at lunch in some touristy (don't go to Delizioso near Trevi fountain)! If you didn't book a table go there before 8pm!

Excellent food. We tried a lot of different pasta and Italian Gnocchi. Keep in mind that the portions are big, so don't order a lot of antipasti!

Our first night in the area 3 mins from hotel. Joined a queue 10mins before opening at 7pm. Invited in warmly and asked if reserved as most tables taken, but as said we would only need a table for an hour and a bit were shown a table. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Locals as well as the odd tourist... More

We were recommended to try this place by our B&B. Upon walking in it looked great, authentic... We were greeted nicely. Then it all went downhill. The servers barely showed up. They forgot or misordered my husbands pizza so it never arrived. After asking them about it after sitting and waiting with my meal getting cold for 10 min, he... More

I chose this trattoria due to the location (just around the corner from our B&B) and the good reviews on Tripadvisor. And it was absolutely WORTH IT! We came shortly before 7pm, when they opened and had the luck to get a table for two, if only till 9pm. People, arriving after 7.30 withouth a reservation didn't have a chance... More

Loved this place but so does everyone else, it was packed by 7.15!! Luckily we had booked so were shown to a table near the kitchen for 7 p.m. The starters were excellent and our pizzas (6-8 euros) were as good as we had in Italy. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of the best dishes I've ever had! The receipt should be considered as one of the masterpieces of the Italian gastronomy! Good service, cool waiters and a nice Italian atmosphere are always a guarantee for a good meal.

Visited this place way back in Dec 2012 Infact this was the first place, that I visited , trusting reviews on trip advisor. The neighbourhood looks so shady that we had second tots before entering this quaint old place. Think the cuisine is more roman than Italian. p.s. will recommend to reserve a table . Service was average...

We read about this place on Trip Advisor and thought we had to try it. We were lucky on the first night we went. They had a table booked for someone for 10pm. We had just over an hour if we wanted to eat there. We took it. We had some pasta and it was very tasty. Big portions and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
