Fun. Quick. Good Value

At around 500/9900 in scores for restaurants in Rome on TA, we reckoned it was a reasonable bet. And so it was. Very fun and friendly staff who were attentive, even though they were busy. Food was quickly served, hot and very reasonable. The house wine was very drinkable, if young as Italian... read more

We had reservations, got lost, arrived a few minutes late - to be greeted by a loud waiter who said lost diners must be Americans.... He was great! We ordered the flambe special and were not disappointed - preparation was fun to watch, portions were generous, and we all wondered about licking the plates... It would have probably been better... Pasta was great. Average Rome prices 7-11 euros for pasta. Service was good but they refuse to let you split the bill with cards which really annoys me.

This is the best restaurant in Rome! Fanstastic atmosphere, very reasonable prices, excellent fun waiters and fabulous food. Our children thoroughly enjoyed our two visits during our stay in Rome. Book early, you won't be disappointed!

We were looking for a memorable last dinner in Rome with my family and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere and interesting menu at good prices. Everything was so good we all shared our first courses. By the time the second courses came we were all pretty full but still really enjoyed those also. Huge bowl of mussels in marinara for... More

Went there with several friends. I had booked for 7 and I called a few hours before arriving to add three more people and we were told that we would be a bit cramped but it was fine. Once there we were given a bigger table in order to be more comfortable. The place is messy, waiters shout with such... More

Read the reviews on trip advisor and wanted to try a restaurant close to our hotel, the Exedra Boscolo in Rome. We weren't disappointed. Good, fresh food that was reasonably priced and and full of flavour. Our waiter Fabrizio was exceptional. Worth the walk from our hotel!

This place is great! The atmosphere is nice, you can see that the waiters are all friends and enjoy what they're doing. Pizza was amazing; will definitely need to go to try their pasta flambe! Definitely make a booking; even if it's only a few hours ago. We did book and still waited 20 mins to get a table -... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
