Was very busy on arrival at 2130, the return is very small. Upstairs has around 6 tables and the basement the same. 1 toilet for all diners! The selection of dishes is extensive and so is the wine menu. The food was average and expensive, the wine was superb and expensive. Service was prompt.

Service in this restaurant was fantastic and staff was really nice. Place was really atmospheric. We had pasta and risotto, it was good but not fantastic. Price was reasonable. You might have to do reservation.

Came highly recommended but a bit of a let down. Service was friendly and good , price was good value but food average. My friends who had steak said it was very good. I had the sea food platter which was short on sea food , ordered a salad that never arrived which is a pet hate, it was written... More

I had the best lasagne ever. It was seasoned with truffels. The service was exellent. The restaurant is full every night and you should make a reservation if you want to eat at the busiest hours. Worth every penny.

We knew we'd need to book based on reviews. We went in on the first day of our visit to Rome and made a reservation for another night. Our waitress, Lilly, was lovely. Very funny and helped us pick out dishes and wine from the menu. I wanted to try truffles, so had a risotto with truffles. It was nice,... More

We made a reservation well in advance of our visit to Rome (by email). We were early showing up, but they had no problem seating us early. After having an issue finding our reservation (they had me down by my email vs my name), we got it sorted out and started to peruse the menu. The restaurant is cozy and... More

So far the best meal I have had in Rome. Restaurant managed four very good dishes out of four. Well done. Especially when I had special request of meals to be lactose and gluten free. I had perfect buffalo mozzarella starter. They had replaced the usual basil with rucola, combination worked well. Outstandingly good mozzarella. Seafood pasta, which I had... More

Our family of four (two adults, two teens) could not have been more delighted with the hearty dinner we enjoyed at this unpretentious, cozy and friendly restaurant. Hostess Lilly steered us to delicious and authentic shared pastas, entrees and desserts. We are New Yorkers, of Italian heritage, and our standards are high. Our sea bass and meats were fresh, delectable... More

Went there for a meal and was not overly impressed. The decor and surroundings are fairly plain, the menu is fairly standard and the service friendly. We found the food to be adequate and not particularly noteworthy. There are cheaper and better alternatives within walking distance.

We arrived at Osteria around 7pm, and was surprised at how small the entry was with only 4 tables showing.. we were asked if we had a reservation (whoops, should have guessed) and of course said no. A couple was just paying their tab and said the same thing happened to them and they had to return tonight to get... More
