Visited this cafe for a mid-morning coffee and snack. Coffee and food were fine but staff were rude. When we paid the bill the money was snatched out of my partners hand. When we were given the change (€5) we asked for it in coins (so we could leave a tip!!!!!) and the waitress huffed as she turned around to... More

Our travels took us from Minnesota, USA to Rome and this place is one of the highlights or our trip. We stayed just accross the street from Papa's cafe and made this our daily stop not only for breakfast but to end the day with a glass of wine. I cannot say enough about this great little cafe! The employees... More

Papa's is a great gem in old Rome. We showed in late for dinner and the owner re-opened the kitchen for is and made our time so special here. If you want to meet a great person go see Papa!!

We fell in love with the warm and friendly atmosphere of Papa's Cafe, radiated by the owner Nino and his lovely assistants, Sofia and Diana. During our five day stay in Rome, Papa's Cafe was the starting spot where we had our first morning cappuccino and corneti, but also a place where we ended the day with a glass of... More

This is a small place on Via dell Orso (Bear St.) which is a quiet street just beyond the really busy tourist area of Centro Storico. We ate at a small table on the street, very close to another couple - we ended up chatting with them. The food was fine - basic menu, well prepared and reasonably priced though... More

We are staying in an apartment nearby and have had several coffees and breakfasts at Papas. Coffee in Rome is all good, and Papa's sweets are ok. What is special is the staff. I haven't interacted with the owner, I have interacted with two of the ladies, Diana and Sophie. Both are exuberant and genuinely friendly. This is a true... More

I stayed in an apartment very near Papa's Cafe and went there for dinner one night because it was so convenient. I enjoyed it so much that I returned every day. The food was really delicious, but even better, the owner and his staff, including his daughter, could not have been nicer or more welcoming. I would love to return... More

Papa's Cafe is run by Papa and his family. We were served by his daughter who was very friendly and spent time talking with us about her life and asking about ours. We had the eggplant parmesan and it was delicious.
