Best tripe in rome

Hi excellent food. Especially the tripe. Amazing with bread. Try the house wine. Very palatable. Deserts excellent. Everyone friendly. Get there early as gets busy quickly especially at lunch. Or make a reservation.

This is a place for ordinary and food concious Romans. Although close to Piazza Navona, the place is a bit hard to find. The ambience is relaxed. Tables are close to each other. The food seems to be all home-made. Prices are reasonable.

Extremely friendly and accommodating. The carbonara rivaled the best I've ever had. House rosso was fantastic, and the Tiramisu changed my life. It actually reset the bar for me. I don't think I will ever order Tiramisu again in the USA after experiencing this because it will only lead to disappointment, shame, and regret. They do take reservations so arrive... More

Family run friendly restaurant. We were the only touristcs, and they could not have been nicer to us. Reason to come is the food which is excellent and refined. Only a few things on the menu (which is often a good sign). Chicken cacciatore best I have had--in lemon and oil, not tomato sauce. Ravioli first course marvellous as well.

This nice restaurant was "hidden" away from main street. The visitors were mostly Italiens, so we weren't surprised that the food was very delicious.

On our way back from the Vatican we stumbled upon Lilli. It's easy to walk by unnoticed since it's tucked away on a side street. We ended up getting the pasta carbonara and the bucatini all'amatriciana (~10€ each). The pasta was cooked very well and had a nice bite to it. My only negative is that both dishes were a... More

This is a little restaurant with nice enough and reasonably priced food. However, they had no juice or any other soft drink than water. We were also asked when we sat down whether we wanted any bread to which we responded in the negative. Then we were brought bread anyway which we didn't make a fuss about since they were... More

Found this place in a guidebook and was glad we went! It's run by an Italian family who don't speak a lot of English but we're very friendly. The restaurant & the service is very basic but the food was excellent. We were given a local red which was served in a Roman like jug. If your looking for something... More

During a trip preparation, I read an article recommending this restaurant. The author was correct. Just one block away from Tevere river, the location was very convenience and the atmosphere was great. Especially, "Cacio and Pepe" was wonderful. You can taste really good homemade style Italian food like a grandma's recipes.
