Non-tourist Family Restaurant

Our hotel clerk suggested this restaurant as a place he takes his family. Obviously a family run operation, the staff did not speak English, but we managed. The food was extremely good, even though we were not quite sure what we were ordering. The house wine was first rate! The patrons are... read more

the cheapest cuts of meat, undercooked pasta, bland (almost no sauce), poor wine, old bread with nothing to soften, a very disappointing dinner. Overpriced and overall it seems to come down to a lazy cook trying to spend as little as possible to make the most money. I would not recommend.

We ate here, twice, 15 years ago, and we ate here twice this trip. The best penne arrabiata I have ever had. They should open one in New York.

I went to this restaurant with my italian friends. It is located in a hidden corner between piazza Navona and lungotevere that even with them we had trouble to find it. - Actually that is great news, because if you are sitting on the terrace, there are no crowds to pass by and steering your meal :-)) Entering in the... This time booking with good advance we were able to sit. Howevere when we arrived aroun 8-30/ 9 pmk many of the side... More

We had lunch here on the basis of a recommendation and were not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy, seemingly with locals which was reassuring. The menu is somewhat limited but the pasta and meat dishes we chose were tasty and fresh. We absolutely loved the chocolate cake with cream, rich but not too sweet and perfectly baked. Service was... We ate here based on a "best of" list from USA Today. While I can't point out anything that was particularly bad about it, e just walked away feeling very underwhelmed. Everything was good, but just not memorable in the least bit. For less money we had far better meals in Rome.

traditional family run "trattoria" with good selection of local food and nice atmosphere. Try different kind of pasta they have and you'll be for sure satisfied. Also main courses are good and from local tradition. For sure good value for money

On a recent visit to Rome we had dinner here and enjoyed it very much, returning a couple of days later for a second visit. The food is very good, traditional, honest fare, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I'd recommend it.
