For 3 euros, we received generous portions of two flavours of gelato dipped in a choice of milk or white chocolate. The chocolate hardened over the icecream, and was delicious- and this is from someone who is picky with chocolate! After trying Giolitti's and various other gelato outlets in Venice as well, it was decided unanimously that Frigidarium's was superior.... More

The chocolate dipped ice cream compares to no other we had in either Venice, Florence or Cinque Terra. The ice cream is great quality with a good selection of rotating and staple flavors. Plus, it's right around the corner from Piazza Navona which is a marvelous walk at night! A must visit while in Rome!

Delicious and well priced for artisanal quality gelato. Been there 3 times, both last year and this year. Gets very crowded with a line but it's worth the wait and the staff handles the tourists well.

I ate much better gelato, but Frigidarium is very good gelateria, but certainly not the best. Overestimated because of the huge queues of the tourists who tried only this gelato in Rome.

I was there three years ago and I had to come back on this trip to eat their wonderful gelato. Nocciola is my favorite, I really recommend it!!!

You can't beat the combination of flavor and price. I have known "the Fridge" was the best gelato in all of Rome, since 2012, but on this trip throughout Italy, I realized they also have the best prices as well!! Limone (Lemon) and Fragula (Strawberry) were my favorite flavors, but the Bacio (Chocolate) is also great!

Probably the best gelato I've ever had. Had the pistachio which was incredible, dipped in dark chocolate. Pure bliss

So this little gelato window was such a fun experience. Tiny little shop down one of the charming cobblestone streets in Rome. Gelato was incredibly tasty. Kicked up the traditional Italian Gelato by adding dipped chocolate as well as very tasty ice cream.
