We have been in Rome several times, but this last time was on a cruise. We decided to do our own thing in Rome and came across this gelateria. We were the first one's there because it was so early. Not only was the gelato the best we ever had, but the price was spectacular. We ate their twice on... More

We were recommended to this gelateria by someone we knew who lived in Rome. The ice creams are to die for, especially when dipped in milk or dark melted chocolate. A must place to visit. Lovely atmosphere sitting outside or just standing in the street taking in the atmosphere

Even though Frigidarium looks rather ordinary and humble in looks, there’s nothing ordinary or mediocre about their ice cream…It’s a heaven on earth for ice cream lovers like myself. Situated on a picturesque street behind Piazza Navona, it’s the perfect place to pick up an ice cream and enjoy it while strolling around. Their ice cream is cheaper and their... More

This is one of two gelaterias in Italy that left a mark on me. Totally fabulous and very friendly service. It's kind of surprising that you could find such a good place close to an extremely touristy area, but it's the real deal. If you don't believe me, believe all the Italians queuing up and all the people who are... More

It was approximately 0c that January morning and my friends wanted an icecream, we were walking not knowing where we were heading after leaving the Vatican city, and we came across this icecream store which every one seemed to like, so despite the freezing weather we decided to give it a try, it was worth it, many flavores (be aware... Best we found in Rome - tons of flavors all made fresh. Both Italians and tourists were waiting in line at this place so we thought that was a good sign.

We could not believe how good this place was! Ice cream dipped in melted chocolate which then went solid! FANTASTIC! 20+ flavours inc. Tiramisu, white chocolate with nutella, after eight etc. The service was quick and precise! Recommended!

Best gelato I've ever had. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what he recommends and he helped me picked out the flavors and advised to top with chocolate sauce and candied cherry. Wow it was so good! A must have.

This was our second trip to Italy and both times we made it a point to sample gelato every day, at least once a day, in every city but we found our favorite here..this wins the gelato contest hands down. We had it the first day and every day there after. Our group sampled many flavors but when at Frigidarium... More
