Good but not the best

Delicious ice cream always worth tasting if nearby. Temperature control and consistency not the best. I would rate eg. La Romana above this place.

We were in Rome for 5 days and saw the reviews here so we made the trek to give it a try. It did not disappoint. Great prices and great tasting gelato! They even dip it in white chocolate or chocolate for free!

Other reviews are pretty good about this gelateria but personally I didn't like it since there are so many better gelato in Rome!!

We stopped at the Frigidarium after dinner because the family was dying for some "good" gelato. I didn't get any because I was stuffed from dinner, but the wife and kids did. At their first taste, it seems they went to heaven. You never heard such ooo-ing and aahh-ing. They said it was the best ever. When we stopped back... More

We loved it so much that having eaten ice cream here, nowhere else was good enough. One day we walked more than 2 miles just to go back there after having eaten much inferior ice creams elsewhere!!

The best ice cream I've ever had! There's no place with an comparable ice cream. Fast service and super fair prices.

My absolute favourite Italian gelato! If you like your gelato covered in iced chocolate, that's great, but I prefer it without. Either way - it's perfectly delicious! And it also offers Belgian waffles with Nutella ;)

The taste is wonderfully great with freshness of ingredients readily apparent. Ate in 5 other Gelaterias while in Rome, but Frigidarium is hand's down the Best. Small shop, actually just a wide serving window, with 2 benches adjacent. Huge long line of waiting customers, but we stopped by after dinner both times. Staff is friendly & pretty despite the rush... More

First things first: obviously the gelato is great. I had the chocolate orange and it was incredibly rich and yet somehow, not sickening (even though I normally tire of chocolate gelato after a few bites). It was only 2 euros for the portion I had with no extra charged for the white chocolate dip; I can tell you, this is... More

Found this place thanks to Google :) Having tried gellato in every city on my way across Italy (Milano, Venice, Florence, Bologna) i must admit this was simply the best!!! Great variety of flavours + waffles and cookes on top of your gellato cevering it with cream or chocolate (white or dark) as you wish.....
