Best Tiramisu ever

Our first time in this famous restaurant in Testaccio (Center-South of Rome) was after a renovation, we heard it has lost its typical old Italian restaurant style, but actually we liked what we've found there… It looks international and cozy at the same time. We've all been there. That restaurant that has limited items and hawks them as if they have been newly created. We were seated in the laps of a loud German business dinner. Super uncomfortable. The lamb roast is some sort of fatty rib dish. It might be a local delicacy but I found it inedible. If you do go, avoid... More

Felice was recommended by a co-worker who spoke very highly of the place and suggested I make a reservation if I wanted to go. They won't take reservation via email and I wasn't able to get an answer when I tried calling so I had the hotel I was staying at make the reservation for me. A reservation was made... More

We rocked up at the restaurant with a reservation. Went to the front desk and tried to make eye contact with the person manning it. But he was clearly having an important phone call. After he hung up, he still did not look at us. After a while he instructed a staff member to tell us to wait outside: we... More

We had diner at Felice a Testaccio in April 5th, 2015. Besides a fantastic pasta (the best of our trip, the speciality of the restaurant) and a very good Barbaresco wine at a reasonable price, the waiter was absolutely special. He was able to speak several languages, to explain the menu very carefully, to sugest alternatives and at the end... More

We've been to this restaurant a few times in the past and have had some great meals and wine. Unsurprisingly, when we planned our most recent trip to Rome we were especially excited about eating at Felice again. Unfortunately our experience this time at the restaurant turned out to be dreadful - largely due to the staff. Ordering the wine... More

I am not a hater and think this place will continue to do fine without me. I am writing this to save anyone the trouble of looking forward to even a passable meal as it is a bit far to go to for horriblle food. I wish I had listened to the few bad reviews here instead of ignoring them.... More

It doesn't matter how good the food could be at a restaurant, if you are treated with the utmost disrespect and rudeness it's going to be an awful experience. From not letting my husband sit in a particular chair at our table (really), to not serving us the food we ordered, it was a disastrous experience. I don't know if... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
