A Birthday Dinner With My Family 27th March...

1) Food Quality: very good verging on excellent 2) Atmosphere: simple, contemporary decor provides for a relaxed atmosphere with a bustling vibe 3) Service: sadly my (our) experience on the evening was marred by what can only be described as a most arrogant waiter. We've been to this restaurant a few times in the past and have had some great meals and wine. Unsurprisingly, when we planned our most recent trip to Rome we were especially excited about eating at Felice again. Unfortunately our experience this time at the restaurant turned out to be dreadful - largely due to the staff. Ordering the wine... More

I am not a hater and think this place will continue to do fine without me. I am writing this to save anyone the trouble of looking forward to even a passable meal as it is a bit far to go to for horriblle food. I wish I had listened to the few bad reviews here instead of ignoring them.... More

It doesn't matter how good the food could be at a restaurant, if you are treated with the utmost disrespect and rudeness it's going to be an awful experience. From not letting my husband sit in a particular chair at our table (really), to not serving us the food we ordered, it was a disastrous experience. I don't know if... More

Our best meal in Rome! The pasta pepe e cacio was as great as everyone says, but my wife had the mixed grilled seafood and it was equally as wonderful. A memorable meal.

Been wanting to go to this place for ages and finally made a reservation - judging by the reviews and our experience, you could be in for a long wait if you have not booked. I think the following 2 points in isolation speak for themselves: 1. When we left at just after 11pm, there was a significant queue outside... More

What a great evening! Excellent food, great wines, service very present and with great sense of humour. French and English fluently spoken. Not too expensive (around 50 euros for 3 courses, with wine). Not in city center but good if you stay in the Aventino area. Loved it!

The restaurant is a bit far from the center but it worth the visit. We tried 3 dishes of pasta carbonara, ravioli and the one with pepper and all were great. We took also a dish with meet that was ok but nothing special and meatballs that were not so good. It's non very cheap neither expensive. The pasta costs... More

Just been to Felice with wife and son for birthday meal. Went on recommendation of our holiday apartment owner. It meant a 25 minute taxi journey but the food was well worth it. We were first in at 7.30 and service was swift if a little brusque at times. I had the Ravioli Felice which was wonderful . My wife... More

Felice is located in Trastevere. It is recommended to book a table, very busy all week. We went a Sunday i February 2015 and the experience was great. Very good service, excellent presentation of the menu - both food and wine. We had ravioli with cheese as a starter and rack of lamb as a main course. The ravioli the... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
