A must when in Rome

If you are into traditional cuisine, don't miss a cacio e pepe or a carbonara at Felice al Testaccio. This place is all about the food, which is really outstanding. Everything else, from decor to service, is average at best, and if you value being welcomed with a smile perhaps it is not the place... read more

We came to this restaurant as a recommendation from a friend and made a reservation (a must). Da Felice was the most authentic Italian restaurant we visited on our trip. You CANNOT miss the Cacio e Pepe! The Cacio e Pepe was the best we had all trip with them mixing it together tableside. We also had Tiramisu for dessert... More

Well presented restaurant with friendly staff and most importantly great Roman cuisine. The pasta is freshly made and the specials really are special. pasta, fish (mixed fish grill was excellent) and meat (slow cooked lamb with roasted potatoes was fantastic). We liked this place so much we returned the next day which speaks for itself.

My wife and I went there as it was recommended by my buddy's colleagues (Romans). It was delicious! The staff, at first, seemed a little stiff, but they were fantastic! I judged, and I was wrong. Super friendly and they had great wines to recommend! The cacio e pepe as well as the tiramisu are both a must!!!

Felice was recommends by an Italian colleague from Milan who think it's a great example of a place serving Roman food. We were impressed. Good was delicious. Glad we ordered only half servings of the pasta as they were very generous. Secondi meat dishes were very tasty. As a family of four we shared the meatloaf (veal and chicken which... More

We had a dinner here for our family of five and it was OK. While the pasta was great, the secondi were just ok, and the house wine too low quality. The service was just average and did not care for tourists.

We went there with a reservation, which I strongly request, it fills up fast, they didn't keep us waiting at all! After the took are order the food was brought to us almost instantly, I ordered the ravioli which was amazing! For Dessert I suggest getting the tiramisu. The staff was friendly, and food was inexpensive and good(all fresh)!

This restaurant is famous for its cacio e pepe which they mix right in front of you at table. To say it's delicious is an understatement! They have an excellent choice of food in their menu and several specials of the day. We went with some friends and had a lovely time. You can frequently do some VIP spotting there... More

This was our second visit to Felice. I'd read a couple of years ago that this restaurant serves the best Cacchio e Pepe pasta in Rome. We've been there twice now, and both visits were a wow! It's a comtemporary restaurant, with traditionally warm, welcoming Italian service. You've got to go there and try the cacchio e pepe; it comes... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
