This restaurant is famous for its cacio e pepe which they mix right in front of you at table. To say it's delicious is an understatement! They have an excellent choice of food in their menu and several specials of the day. We went with some friends and had a lovely time. You can frequently do some VIP spotting there... More

This was our second visit to Felice. I'd read a couple of years ago that this restaurant serves the best Cacchio e Pepe pasta in Rome. We've been there twice now, and both visits were a wow! It's a comtemporary restaurant, with traditionally warm, welcoming Italian service. You've got to go there and try the cacchio e pepe; it comes... More

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at this Testaccio establishment. Our server Alessio explained everything on the menu and he couldn't have treated us better... first class service. We had a half bottle of wine, I had the lamb and my wife had the famous Cacio e pepe. Everything was perfect....we even saved a bit of room for dessert. The complete... More

This had come highly recommended from a local so we were expecting a great meal. There were 4 of us. We each had a pasta and a second and it was entirely too much. The tonnerelli ( home made pasta) was very heavy-unusual for home made. The carbonara was tasty but the ham was not as light as It had... More

This was the highlight of a 2-week trip filled with great meals. All I can say was everything we had was amazing, and my friend used to work for Martha Stewart, and now works for Food Network -- she knows great food. The cacio e pepe was the best we had in Rome, the other pastas were also outstanding --... More

Located in an area with many wonderful family restaurants, this one is really special. Very popular, so be sure to make a reservation. Food is beautifully presented, but not everything on the menu is available. We had bad luck with our first bottle of red wine (27 Euros). The second cheaper one was much better. So be sure to ask... Went with a friend on last Sunday for dinner. Inside of the restaurant is clean and nice. The service is pretty good. Price wise, each plate ranges from $10-15. (I would say order about two plates per person, three plates if you are super hungry). Tried the Ravioli alla Felice (pasta) as well as the polpette (meatballs), which were very... More

Worth the trip away from downtown Rome to find this local gem. I had the pasta and my husband had the lamb chop and both were perfect and delicious. I dream of returning to Rome to go back soon!

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
