My partner and I planned to go to a restaurant before we set off from the hotel and instead ended up eating here on the off chance it was one of the most beautiful mistakes we have ever made! As we looked at the menu because I am an extremely fussy eater the wonderful (I think owner or at least... More

After a morning spent seeing the main monuments in Rome, we went here for a quick lunch. Not the best choice made. The service was unfriendly, slow, and the food less than average. The pasta, amatriciana - one of the characteristic Roman dishes, was absolutely plain (supermarket pasta with some sauce and a few cubes of pancetta). Moreover, downstairs there... More

On our final day in Rome and after a long day sightseeing, we decided to find a restaurant in the centre to eat in. We looked at several restaurants in the area and settled for this as it seemed to have the most vegetarian options for my girlfriend. The owner was very welcoming initially and invited us to sit at... More

We found this place while trying to get to Trevi Fountain. The male owner seemed friendly and invited us in. There was a strong unpleasant smell of fish in the restaurant. The bread seemed old and stale and there was Indian music playing in the background which seemed odd for an Italian restaurant. We felt like we were being watched... More

We stopped there to grab a bite before going down to the fountain of Trevi. Bland decor. Pizza far from memorable. Nice waiter. Touristy. You go once, not twice.

After a long busy day of walking, we decided to try and find a nice restaurant to rest and recuperate. After a brief look over the menu, we decided to give this place a try. The lady at the front seemed inviting enough, if not a little forceful. After entering, we felt like we had walked into a delicatessen. It... More

This place and staff was real a nice surprise for us. A little bit tired of walking around Palatini and Colosseum, then we took a metro, walking around, and suddenly we were inside the restaraunt. So friendly stuff, price was reasonable, my wife got a rose, she is a red rose herself, really. We ate pollo romanese and contorni. Excellent!

All helpful and obliging to ensure you and your party are accomodated and seated, still attentive as your order is being taken...drinks arrive...and then boom...it's all downhill from there..... Not all good things are worth waiting for, and not all things waited for are good. When we finally got our food (yawn, I must have aged 3 years), some was... More

The proprietor ushered us in with the promise of no service charge, as is advertised out the front of the premises. The minestrone was more like a clear vegetable soup and the Risotto Gamberi appeared not to have more than one prawn in it. The bill included a charge per person, six in our family, more than a quarter of... More
