Pretty average

The first restaurant we visited and probably the most unremarkable one. There are much better restaurants in the vicinity. I ordered a fettucine primavera which should be made with a selection of spring vegetables and not just a few peas and a teaspoon of mushrooms.

This was my fifth time in Rome and this was without a doubt the worst restaurant I have encountered. Avoid it, the food was terrible the bill was huge and the service even worst.

The quality of food was poor, one cannot say that the food was bad but we paid through our noses. On this same trip we went to other restaurants where we paid half of what we paid at La Fontanella Sistina and the quality of food was much better. I will not visit again.

We just got home with our take away pizza. It was a complete disappointment the moment we opened the boxes. The pizzas was so small and burned and dry! It was barely possible to eat ! Please stay away, im sure there are better pizza restaurants around !

Me and my family recently visited this restaurant during our trip to Rome when we were unfortunately talked in by the smooth talking Francesco, the friendly service stopped with him as the rest of the family running the restaurant were miserable and rude. This restaurant was a complete rip off, we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio at about 18... More

On my first visit to Rome, I encountered this lovely, simple and fantastic family restaurant. I spent only 3 days in Rome and had 3 meals there :) The food is amazing! Fresh, tasty, made with a lot of love and gives you great value for your money (and in Rome, its not an easy to come by). Though the... More

So this place is not the great Italian culinary experiance, although the food is okay, but if you enjoy a bit of people watching I would recommend. Francesco, you are a special guy x

After long day we just wanted some place for dinner while walking back to hotel. We only ordered pizza with chips and a bottle of wine. The wine was bad, and not cheap, the pizza was cold and not cooked properly, when pointed this out they heated it up in a microwave, it was then hot but not cooked.

We really enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It certainly has a family feel. I had gnocchi which was flavoursome and superb. The proprietor greeted us on arrival and waiters were kind and patient to our lack of Italian. Would recommend this restaurant

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
