No frills simple italian restaurant. For the location (very close to the Pantheon) it had a surprising proportion of locals vs tourists. Service friendly and prompt. Good value for money. Not fine dining but of its type really good

Love this restaurant, a very basic style taverna that has delivered each time on the food front. This visit we have been twice and each time I have had the pizza, without a doubt the best pizza in Rome, the thinnest of crusts and divine taste. The service can sometimes be a little slow or haphazard but for me this... More

We were actually looking for another restaurant with a similar name located next door however it had closed down. So we decided to give this place a try. The staff were very friendly and were were placed in an open doorway so we could watch live go by and it was romantic as well. The restaurant is not on a... More

We'd read some of the other reviews and were staying close so we gave this a try. We were really glad we did. The pizza was really good and the staff was helpful and friendly. Really fresh tasty pizza. Will be some of the best you've had. Just remember that pepperoni is all about peppers, so order carefully if you... More

This pizza is paper thin with fresh ingredients. It is perfectly cooked. Although it is pretty big, one person can pretty much finish one because it is so light. I also had some linguine with clams that were very good. The house wine is cheap but tasty. The service can be a bit indifferent at times but I suppose it... More

I read about this restaurant on many websites even gourmet traveller. Some even describe it as having the best pizza in Rome. So disappointed on every level - food crap, wine crap , service crap do yourself a favour and walk on by. The only positive feedback is that yes the pizza crust is super thin and crispy but that... Literally came across this when walking to Piazza Navona and what a find. Small, friendly and busy little place and one of the best and cheapest places we found. When ordering half a bottle of wine, oddly you get the whole bottle and pay for what you drink! Wonderful food though, from the starter all the way through, I highly... More

I have visited the restaurant previously and possibly my memory made me a bit disappointed. The Le Copelle is still making excellent thin pizza. THe other dishes are nice, but not as good as I remembered from last time. Still, a nice place to visit and I will still recommend the place. My daughter loved the canneloni al forno The... More

We have been eating there for years, and it has always been good. Simple food at really good prices. The pizza is very thin and crispy, as romana pizza should be, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. We always think of it as our little secret in Rome, and it has never let us down. We always recommend the... More

We had an excellend italien food (fried copelle = variation of fried fish and vegetables + different pizza) the red house wine and finally a glas of grappa. It was the best food and the most friendly service we had in 5 days of our stay in Rome. Finally the price was a friendly surprise. Full recomendation from Elisabeth and... More
