Very average restaurant in the centre of Rome, the food was okay but that was it. Waitresses are kind though

Horrible, horrible “service” provided by a spoiled brat. We got lost while looking for another place and it started raining. Taverna Le Coppelle looked inviting from the outside and we went in. The place was empty at the time (only 2 other tables occupied) and the waitress asked where we wanted to sit. When my husband hesitated for a few... More

3rd visit to Rome and 4th visit to this restaurant. Still really good. Good service, good menu choice. The pizzas are amazingly thin and crispy. It is typically italian. Brought our friends here this time - they enjoyed it too. Worth just deviating from the main route through.

That was not a good experience. We walked in for dinner and were directed to a small table which was actually in the way for the service of other tables, hence being pretty much all the time annoyed by waitresses/customers squeezing their way inbetween my chair and the table behind. The food was quite low compared to what I've eaten... More

This place is to be avoided. From the outdide it looks good with reasonable prices but on the inside it is another story. They say there is no service charge but then they bring you bread you didn't order and charge you for it. My tiny portion of lasagne had been microwaved to death and so the cheese was chewy... More

We had our first dinner in Rome here and all in all it was a good experience. While it is tucked into a side street away from vehicle traffic, it's still only a short walk from the Pantheon so there's a lot of foot traffic in the area. On the night we visited, tourists were the only dine-in customers, though... More

I decided to write this review after coming across a very negative review of this place. Now while I accept that anywhere can have an off day, I have been using this place for years and have recommended it to others and never never have had anything but positive feedback. What it is not is fine dining but it has... More

Nice little place with good staff and reasonable prices. Many locals. Good house wine, pizza and pasta. Went for both lunch and dinner.

No frills simple italian restaurant. For the location (very close to the Pantheon) it had a surprising proportion of locals vs tourists. Service friendly and prompt. Good value for money. Not fine dining but of its type really good

Love this restaurant, a very basic style taverna that has delivered each time on the food front. This visit we have been twice and each time I have had the pizza, without a doubt the best pizza in Rome, the thinnest of crusts and divine taste. The service can sometimes be a little slow or haphazard but for me this... More
