If you're in Trastavere, eat here! The place was sooo good and the price was great too. Get the house wine...Fab. The Bruschetta was a great start. We had the tortelini en brodo! Amazing soup. We shared spaghetti with Bolognese sauce (even tho menu said pomodoro, we asked and we got it), we shared a napoli pizza. We loved the... More

Me and a couple of friends got the recommendation for this place from an italian friend. We arrived quite late, but the place was already packed with locals! Somehow we managed to still get a table for our group and the food turned out awesome! Prices are on a normal level, my Calzone was around 8€. Everyone in our group... More

We only had simple food, soup and pizza and it was fine but nothing special. Service was fine and the prices are average. The place was much less busy than other nearby restaurants which may tell you something but on the other hand it was early for Italy.

Classic and tasty Roman cucina, but long wait for everything. Tough to get the check. In nice weather, sit in the rear courtyard.

Best meal. But you have to know what to order. Had prosciutto and melon and tomato bruschetta. Then grilled bream. Which we shared. Ordered a side of potatoes but I don't think they Are on the menu. Saw someone eating them when we had lunch there. The best meal

Walking through the small streets of middle ages Trastevere district we've discovered an amazing place - small family owned Italian restaurant. If you want to taste the best pasta or pizza, the same as Italians eat and for reasonable price - this is the right place. There are two not small, not big, cosy rooms and nice small patio inside. The... More

A family owned restaurant in the Trastevere area. The night I dined there, the couples were all in the garden patio and there was also several family groups in the main dining area. This is not a destination restaurant, not trendy or tourist oriented. There are many pastas and main courses to choose from, but a little light on the... More

My daughter ordered spaghetti alla pomodoro, and my husband and I shared a margherita pizza (we aren't huge dinner eaters, and one pie holds both of us over till morn). The food here was delicious, and the bread basket they break out for 1.5 Euro is simply delicious. I love beginning my meal with a traditional, thick, chunky piece of... More

This was the worst meal we had in Italy. None of the six of us could finish our meals. We had a variety of dishes, but none were good. They were quite unfriendly to us, and service was painfully slow. A local recommended this place to us, and it seemed to me that they were much more friendly and attentive... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
