This was our 4th day and Rome and had gelato every day. This was the very best. Price was the best and the the people were super nice.
Was recommended by a local Italian tour guide... guys working there are super friendly and as the title suggests 'best we have ever had' and we have had mountains of the stuff over the last few years.
The Old Bridge Gelateria is the best in Rome -- so say the locals; so say I. It is located just outside the Vatican walls as you walk to the Vatican Museum. As your facing St. Peter's Basilica, walk to the right around the Vatican Walls -- just follow the signs to the Vatican Museum. When you pass the bronze... More
A great little hole in the wall next to the Vatican and seemed very popular when we turned up. Delicious ice cream and actually good value - I had 3 different flavours (banana, cookies, blueberry yoghurt) on one cone for 2.5 euros, but you could also have the same on a 2 euro cone. Staff were helpful and efficient. I... More
Best gelato we had during our five days in Rome and believe me I had tried a lot!!! I had two scoops, one of pistachio and one of Nutella!!! The prices were reasonable, especially being so close to the Vatican and the guys working there were very friendly! Very refreshing after getting lost in the Vatican!!!

This review is for the Trastevere branch of Old Bridge. I don't see a listing for it on tripadvisor. We walked by after a lovely dinner and decided to pop in for some gelato. We tried the Bacio, Straciatella and Nutella flavors and they were all lovely and decadent. The gelato was rich and fresh and very satisfying. My husband... More
Great gelataria .... made our day.. would recommend to all. Best enjoyed after a tiring visit to Vatican
Having been in Rome a few times and after making Blue Ice Gelato my personal favourite gelateria, I was hesitant in trying Old Bridge, but after so many TripAdvisor positive reviews, I was ready to see what the hype is about. Now, on first sight, there was a massive queue (longer than Stansted Border Control in rush hour), which we... More
Im not sure whats in their gelato, but it's amazingly good. I was walking back from dinner and saw the trip advisor review and tried it. Amazing! It looks like every other bar / gelateria from the outside. I wish I could make this stuff at home! Well done and well worth a couple of Euros!
