Great Place near Vatican

I frequented this place more often than I'd like to admit when studying abroad 10 years ago, and it's still just as good as I remember. Good gelato just outside the Vatican walls off of Piazza Risorgimento.

La fila fuori fa pensare ad una grande gelateria: la realtà è dozzinale e grettamente turistica. Da evitare. Dear tourists, if you want to try a real good italian ice cream, is plenty of other better places. This is garbage..

After exploring the vatican museum and St Peters, this place has great gelato and a variety of flavor options. Get the whip cream on top. This place has real gelato compared to the crappy gelato in most of the touristy areas in Rome.

Their gelato is quite good but it is way too over-crowded. As a result we had to wait some time to get the ice-cream and my mom even got the wrong flavour.

We couldn't believe the line for gelato when we got here, but figured it must be good. It was the best gelato we had on our entire trip around Europe. It has great prices, too! I had the mango and strawberry sorbets (no dairy for me unfortunately) and my husband had the coconut and chocolate (which I snuck a lick... More

The lines are OldBridge are very long. It has somehow a connection to Korea, in addition to Italian and English the menu has Korean and the line had lots of Korean people. Gelato is international! They have a lot of flavors. My favorites are pistachio and mango. This is one of the better gelateria in Rome.

There is always a line which reinforces the fact that it's awesome. ❤️😊👌🏼 It is located across the street from the Vatican wall and next door to a crepe spot which is pretty good too. The guys are super friendly and know multiple languages.

The queues say it all. Delicious ice cream with a vast array of flavours at reasonable prices. Loved it. The fans are also helpful shooting lovely cold air at you

A very good gelato shop in Rome. Not much to look at at first - a small shop front. Was the first gelateria we tried and it did not disappoint. Many flavors to choose from - vanilla/chcocolate blends to fruity blends. Servers were friendly. Prices reasonable Others must think its good too as we waited in line down the street.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
