During our 11 night stay in Trastevere we ate at La Botticella 3 times. The food, service and overall experience was excellent every time. I can not remember his name, but the gentleman with the thick goatee was our server twice and was just great. Julia(owner/chef/waitress) was everywhere, and besides cooking our meals she would appear out of nowhere filling... More

Try this place in Trastevere for great food and calid service. We order zucchini flowers filled with mozzarella and anchovies, amazing, and fried artichoke flowers. Then pasta with gorgonzola and caccio y pepe (pepper and cheese).

It was a very nice restaurant in Trastevere. For starters we tried the dish of the dayf: fried artichokes that were actually quite good, and artichokes roman style a(boiled with lemon) that were not so good. Pasta was amazing, tryied home made ravioli with truffle and werre truly delicious!! Staffw as alsomvery useful!!

I am so glad I had the taxi take us right to the door or else we would have never had found it . It is a little place with seating only outside. The tables close together family style - we loved it !!! We made friends with people on the right and left of us. The food is fantastic... More

We made a reservation for this restaurant on a weeknight and I am glad we did. As soon as it opened, it packed out. It was dark at 6:59 and hopping, with every table filled by 7:15. It is extremely popular and I suspect that the reason is terrific, traditional Roman food and exceptionally good service. There are a large... More

We chanced upon this little gem whilst walking round the Trastevere and booked for the following night. You must make the effort to find this place which is off the main area as it is fantastic. A rustic little place with seating inside and out. We sat inside and loved it, yes it's small and the tables close together but... More

Nice place off the tourist trail. Food was good, portions were large and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, recommend this place.

A friend had dined here awhile back and wanted to try it again so I joined her for a Saturday lunch. Pleasant outdoor seating in a not-so-touristy neighborhood (local laundry still hanging outside) with well prepared, typical dishes. Warning: portions are excessive, so if you want a classic meal (antipasto, primo, secondo, etc.) insist on splitting plates, which they are... More
