Friendly and Inviting

I actually dined here twice. My first night alone. I was only eating vegetable soup because I needed something light before meeting friends later. The staff was exceedingly friendly, which when dining alone can be appreciated. The owner even introduced me to the their chef who cooks the Brazilian... read more

What a friendly family run restaurant with great food and so much fun! Some of the wine is from the family vineyard and was excellent!

We ate here on two of our 5 nights in Rome, the owner welcomed us, explained the menus and allowed us to select from the remaining tables. Alain our waiter made good recommends for wine, opening up our knowledge to previously untried Tuscany wines. The food was hot, plentiful, but the whole evening were not rushed, and the attentive staff... More

We stopped at this restaurant after a long day trip to Pompeii. It was 9:30pm and we were starving and this was near our hotel (Hotel dei Mellini). The decor was eccentric, but intriguing. We asked where the decorations came from and the owner told us he had collected them from his travels around the world. It turned out to... More

We visited this restaurant when we were in Rome several years ago and enjoyed their great homemade food and friendliness.....On this trip we decided to try it again. We were greeted warmly as if we were frequent customers. The waiter informed us that the restaurant had changed hands since our last visit but that the menu was similar. We had... More

Our memorable journey in Rome was topped off with the best Italian food at Vito Roma. The service and food, "excellent,"our final was dessert with their delicate touch of "Tiramisu." Thank You to the owner's and staff for making us feel so welcomed.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
