We stopped at this restaurant after a long day trip to Pompeii. It was 9:30pm and we were starving and this was near our hotel (Hotel dei Mellini). The decor was eccentric, but intriguing. We asked where the decorations came from and the owner told us he had collected them from his travels around the world. It turned out to... More

We visited this restaurant when we were in Rome several years ago and enjoyed their great homemade food and friendliness.....On this trip we decided to try it again. We were greeted warmly as if we were frequent customers. The waiter informed us that the restaurant had changed hands since our last visit but that the menu was similar. We had... More

Our memorable journey in Rome was topped off with the best Italian food at Vito Roma. The service and food, "excellent,"our final was dessert with their delicate touch of "Tiramisu." Thank You to the owner's and staff for making us feel so welcomed.

Went to this restaurant twice with my wife whilst holidaying in Rome mid March. Had special, which is Picanha. This is beef fillet for 2 , cooked on a skewer. This was fine but requested potatoes and veg. The veg consisted of a few carrots, an artichoke , a couple of thin slices of aubergine and a mouthful of tiny... More

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. The food is very delicious. I can recommend the Lasagna ala Bolognese, the Pollo ala romana and Tagliatelle al pesto. Everything was freshly made. The price was right for what we had.

Really disappointed to read some very poor ratings as cannot understand how they can be right! Had fantastic meal and service was great! The traditional Italian dishes are tasty and generous in size. Would highly recommend the antipasti and pastas dishes. Try it. You will not be disappointed! We will be going back for another meal. After 4 days in... More

This restaurant was chosen by walking from our hotel Dei Mellini. I wish I had read the reviews on here first and not wasted my time at this establishment. I ordered local craft beer and got mass produced lager. The chicken was bones with very little meat and a tomatoey sauce. Two portions of chips arrived as one plate to... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
