Fabulous little street cafe

Delicious coffee, baguettes and salads to eat in (just a few little tables on the pavement or to go). The service was very impressive and there was beautiful attention to detail.

This place is near our hotel, so we stopped for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are amazing. The meats and tomatoes are sliced after you order your sandwich, and the freshness is reflected in the flavor. Yum! The only drawback is the lack of seating, it is primarily a takeout restaurant. Nice people, very helpful (not fluent in English, but... More

This restaurant was near our hotel and we stopped by multiple times as it was great for a sandwich on the go. The sandwiches were made with fresh ingredients with the meat sliced on site when ordered. Despite using much better ingredients the sandwiches were still less than you would pay for one at Subway. We tried the Amelie, Margot,... More

We were looking for a quick lunch after taking long tours all morning and was getting tired of the same old tomato and cheese that have been sitting all day in the other quick lunch cafes. We each had a "Grande" sandwich around 6 Euro each. They were made fresh and very tastey. It was a great change of pace... More

Good sandwiches made fresh. Great prices and friendly staff. Great for a late night snack after a long day of touring.

We stopped here to have lunch on the day we visited Villa Borghese. We expected to eat in the restaurant - but the pictures you see on Tripadvisor are the entire restaurant. It's really no more than a walk in sandwich shop. We ordered the Amelie and the Margot and with directions from the clerk headed off to Villa Borghese... More

Walked halfway across town to have lunch here at the recommendation of other Tripadvisor reviewers. My wife had the Madame Chloé while I had the Madame Mimì, along with a coke and a Centrifugato Arancia. The woman serving the baguettes seemed very pleasant, and the prices were reasonable. However, we came for the food - and the baguettes were simply... More

Been to Italy several times. Other than pizza or pasta, I always had a difficult time to find a good place to eat in Italy. But in Rome, Madame Baquette is an amazing place to have beautiful and fantastic sandwiches you never find anywhere in Italy. Reasonable prices, variety of sandwiches and salads. Don't miss Madame Baquette in Roma. Love... More

Every time I go back to Rome I like to discover trendy and good restaurants and bars to see what's new. After many people telling me to go to Madame Baguette I finally land there with high expectations and...it is really a must! If you like freshly baked bread and Italian delicacies you are in the right place: fresh, tasty... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
