Tasty pastries!

We were lucky enough to have this ristorante as our breakfast location. They were friendly, had great pastries and wonderful coffee.

This is not a place for an evening meal. We spent 70 euros on a shared starter, two meat mains and a bottle of vino. The steak was 50% grizzly fat. Feel so sad putting on a poor review but it ruined our last night in Rome.

We visited this restaurant on the second night of our trip and were very disappointed. A number of items were not available from the menu. It would have been helpful if we had been told this before we chose! As a group of four, we were served meals at different times by a waiter who virtually threw the plates on... More

We visited this restaurant on the final night of our trip to Rome and left VERY disappointed. Service was chaotic and slow, of four diners one was served a pasta dish a good 15 minutes before the rest of us and had finished by the time the other three mains arrived. No condiments on the table and we were charged... More

This restaurant is off the beaten path, and seems to be family run. It was recommended by our hotel nearby. They had brick oven pizza and homemade pastas. Everything we had was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

Despite the bright lighting and café style interior the staff and food provides a nice experience for a casual dinner. The staff is limited, but provide a nice and correct service. The quality of the food is good. The parma ham and melon starter is generous and the lasagna is medium sized, creamy and not overly hot as you get... More

Visited here to try our first ever Italian Pizza, and we were left underwhelmed! I think with being in Italy we expected more somehow, the Pizza was just like any other stone baked pizza ive had in the UK. The service was quite slow but i think that was because it appeared only 1 waiter was covering the entire restaurant.... More

Restaurant is pretty nice and cozy, the staff and service was great, and food was just fantastic. Also possibility to take pizza to go. Spent 3 nights in Rome and 3 times for dinner there. Great thanks. Really recommend!!!

Don,t use this restaurant unless you are desperate. During our 4 nights in Rome this was by far our worst experience, My wife, daughter, granddaughter and I arrive around 7, 30pm on the 24th October 2014 we where shown to a table and then waited for 30 minutes before deciding to go in search of a waiter to ask for... Went there on recommendation from our BnB, we didn´t regret it. An extraordinary selection of pizzas, meat en fish. We "only" had pizzas, but looking at the other dishes which were served and the peoble who eated them it aloso looked very fine.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
