Saw a celebrity and enjoyed an evening of people watching

This is a very trendy cafe that filled quickly with an after work crowd for their evening aperitivi and a snacks. On this occasion an Italian celebrity was among those enjoying a spring evening at an outside table. He graciously shook hands and posed for photos with well wishers and staff from... read more

My friend was visiting Rome one late Sunday morning. Beforehand, I had searched the internet for a cafe to have brunch which is not so traditional in Rome. Since, I have passed by this cafe many times and it looks really nice, we opted for trying this place. Firstly, the staff looked at me strangely annoying, when I mentioned the... More

Settembrini is not a restaurant that you would sit down in to have antipasti, pasta and primi, it is more of a casual place, where you sit outside in good weather and share some of their excellent cold cuts and cheeses and maybe follow it up with a main. Order wine from their excellent and really reasonable selection and enjoy... More

Staff was extremely accommodating and helpful, happily translating the entire menu (both the café and the restaurant menus, and serving dishes from the restaurant menu even though we were there at seven - a couple of hours before regular Italian dinner time) for us (we didn't even ask for it) and being very attentive to our needs.

We've only been to Caffe Settembrini for morning coffee, so I can't comment on the aperitivi, but it's a place we visit on all our trips to Rome and I'm happy to say it's still terrific. The coffee is very good. I'm not a huge fan of Italian coffee (I know, I feel like a freak about it, too) but... More

We ended up in Settembrini by recommendation from our apartment owner on Prati. Luckily we followed his advice. The place besides of being cool, the food was excellent 100%. If you happen to be there for lunch order one the lunch options from "Le nostre Formule". I ordered "la signora Maigret" FANTASTIC. Also their desserts are amazing. All home made,... More

We found this off the beaten path gem after a long day of sightseeing with millions of other tourists. They were busy and it took a little time to reach us, but once the server arrived, we enjoyed excellent recommendations. We had the mixed cheese and meat antipasti and a green salad. Both were delicious. See the photo for desserts... More

This place is packed during day. They offer great choices for lunch and make very good coffee so people keep flowing in. During evenings turns a bit more quiet and intimate. Choices for dinner can be nice Tuesday to Sunday because on Mondays they have a fixed menu. The design is nice yet simple, which I totally loved and the... More

This nice place is situated near my hotel and during my stay I went there very often. The place is really nice but the waiters are absolutely rude! When they are asked to switch on the heaters they brag they don't work but apparently for elderly people the work properly. Each time I came, since the wheater was pretty warm,... More

We were on our honeymoon in Italy when we stumbled upon Settembrini Cafe. It was the lighting that was beautifully displayed outside the cafe that drew us in. We weren't sure if we would stay but then we heard live music just inside. The place was full and the atmosphere was fantastic. We spoke to the hostess and she was... More
