Best Meal in Rome

We visited Rome for 5 Days, and went to several very well rated restaurants. Ad Hoc ws the best meal I had in Rome and the experience was outstanding. We started at their Truffle shop where we had a tasting accompanied by a glass of champagne. Then we went to dinner, which was superb. I wish we... read more

We ate here (thanks to a recommendation from a friend) on the first night of our honeymoon and it was wonderful. We each did a tasting menu (one land and one sea). The presentation of the food was gorgeous and everything tasted wonderful! Each course came with wine and they were not skimpy on the wine like I've experienced in... More

Very smart and contemporary restaurant with wine bottles galore. We opted for the tasting menu, which although is more expensive, offers great value for money. All courses were delicious and served with a different wine. The most enjoyable thing here is the pace of the meal, which is very relaxed, and makes for a wonderful evening. Will recommend to all... My wife and I were in Rome celebrating our anniversary and Ristorante Ad Hoc did an outstanding job of making it an anniversary to remember. The ambiance was wonderful, the wait-staff very friendly and attentive, and the food...THE FOOD! The food was amazing. We opted for one of the tasting menus with wine pairing and we could not have been... More

The food was lovely and I definitely reccomend this place for anyone looking for a modern twist on classic dishes. The service was great and couldn't be faulted.

On our trip to Rome, we celebrated the birthday of two family members at Ad hoc, and had an absolutely amazing evening. We were treated to a sparkling wine for the occasion, and the waiters were extremely attentive throughout the entire evening. We ordered different tasting menus, and every one of the 7 people party received detailed explanations to what... More

My mum and I visited this restaurant on our first night in Rome and it was fantastic and started our holiday off on the right foot. We had booked in advance as many of the reviews had suggested and were very pleased we did, we probably wouldn't have got a table. On arrival we were lucky enough to do the... More

We last visited Ad Hoc on our last trip to Rome back in 2010. Visiting again we arranged to go with a group of friends. I’m always nervous about going back having had a great experience the last time we visited, I shouldn’t have been concerned. Our whole party chose the Roman style cuisine tasting menu with wine matching to... More

We visited Ad Hoc on our first night in Rome, which I had booked based on the positive reviews. We arrived a little early and were directed around the corner to their truffle shop for a truffle tasting. This was completely unexpected - but hell, yeah! You could smell the heady truffle aromas from outside the shop, and inside we... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
