Wow!

Could not have expected any more for our silver wedding anniversary meal. We were in Rome for a few days for the wedding of our friends, and we booked for Ad Hoc because of my love for truffles. I thought it would be the best way to end the trip - I was wrong. Cooking with truffles is not the same as sticking some truffle shavings on a dish. This restaurant believes... More

My husband and I had one of the best meals of our two-week Roman holiday here, at Ad Hoc. We did the complimentary truffle tasting, which was in a cool kind of basement wine cellar, and then proceeded to the restaurant where we ordered the truffle tasting menu with wine. The food was fabulous and plentiful, as were the wines... More

My best friend and I traveled across Europe for about 40 days, and we must have eaten at around 100 restaurants or so. And, out of all of those restaurants, Ad Hoc easily won our award for the best food, service, atmosphere, creativity, and presentation. The restaurant was quite classy but also had a very comfortable atmosphere that wasn't overwhelming.... More

We went to the ad hoc based in the reviews on trip advisor. So many fantastic reviews.....our experience was decent but certainly not fantastic. Unfortunately that is the experience we have had through out Rome for our dinners. Great expectations followed by disappointment. No point going through our meal selection as they wee all just mediocre. Staff were very pleasant... More

We were very excited for this dinner, considering it's ranked so high on here. Honestly, this was our least favorite dinner during our stay in Rome. The service was fantastic and we did the tasting menu, but the food was just okay. I really wish I didn't have to say that. They did give us a bottle of prosecco when... More

We attended Ad Hoc during a 4 day trip in July. We reserved a table via email in advance, and were invited to a truffle tasting session prior to our meal, to which we accepted. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be a fantastic experience. We were ushered downstairs in the truffle shop, where we... More

What a special restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and all of it is fresh made. I had the fresh truffle pasta which was absolutely incredible. Service was fantastic and prices were more than fair, I would love to go back and do the truffle tasting menu! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Rome.

We had a terrific time at Ad Hoc. We started with the truffle tasting and found it excellent. The flavors were all very interesting and enjoyable. We then went to the main restaurant and had the tasting menu. Each course was fabulous and the service was top notch. Value for money was amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant.

My partner and I managed to get a booking for AdHoc for our last meal in Rome. We decided to have the tasting menu, but my partner is a vegetarian, and there was no veggie option. However, this was not a problem for the staff who arranged a spectacular tasting menu for both of us. The wine was excellent and... More
