Wonderful evening

Concierge at our hotel made our reservation. We were very pleased with the friendly service and explanation of the menu. I got the Grouper which was outstanding. My husband got the filet dish; It was probably not the best choice and he was disappointed that it was on the bland side. We were... read more

Great attention to detail with every course. Wonderful flavours. Knowledgeable staff. The 4 course fish degustation food was excellent. My husband had the pairing wines, which he really enjoyed. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Went there in April with partner, easy to find in a central area. Good space - we ate in the dining room to the right with a fish tank in it, went for the 7 course fish tasting menu (see my pic) which was enjoyable and time just about right (we were there for 2 hours in all). Good wine... More

Superb food. Absolutely the best in Rome. The main was beef fillet with king prawns and potatoes and was incredible. The wine was so nice, really fruity and not expensive. The highlight was Rocco. A great waiter,so informative and very helpful. An absolute gentleman. Thankyou Rocco you made our night!!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge and was well worth the walk in the pouring rain! We ordered the goatfish salad, cod with scallops, and the sea bass and all were great. The service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating to English speaking customers.

My husband and I visited Italy for the first time. Crispi 19 was the one the hotel concierge recommended us for the very first dinner in Italy. We ordered the prefixed Fish Tasting Menu and every dish made us say wow or give sighs with admiration! The combination of fresh ingredients and chef's sense of cooking was awesome. The presentation... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant because of our desire to eat near the spanish steps. As Americans, its hard to know to know how many dishes to order. We were very interested in having authentic roman pasta and we achieved this goal. We had Spaghetti all'Amatriciana and Spaghetti alla Carbonara, both were excellent but the Spaghetti all'Amatriciana was out of... More

Incredible pasta Romana style (amatriciana and carbonara), amazing flavours, home baked bread served with oil and balsamic (could do with a better quality balsamic vinegar, a common problem in most good restaurants) and warm homely feel thanks to outstanding service. The room inside is a little dark but the walls are covered by a fresque from a prominent italian modern... More

We went to Crispi 19 and found the location very easy to find with an adorable curb appeal. Inside the restaurant was also charming - they have private and public seating areas that were decorated nicely. The service was amazing - they were quick to take or order and gave us attention during the entire dinner. Now, on to the... More

The food was excellent. I had a spinach flan to start (veggie option) with veggie lasagne as a main. My partner had fish for starter & main. Desserts were a work of art and delicious. Staff spoke good english and explained the food in detail. 3 courses with a bottle of pinot grigio 150 euro...so expensive. Restaurant decor is dated...more... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
