Wonderful Food and Service at Crispi 19

My wife and I had lunch (our main meal of the day) at Crispi 19 on Via Francesco Crispi, 19 - Rome. We had made a reservation online which was quickly confirmed. Our host (who I believe was the owner/manager Maurizio) was very pleasant and helpful. We followed several of his suggestions regarding... read more

We had quite high expectations for this restaurant since a friend had recommended it. The food was beautifully played but I wished it could have tasted a bit more. Good service and we had a really nice white wine with our food. Creative menu.

This wonderful fish and seafood restaurant was a welcome change from the meat and pizza we had been eating while in Rome. This was our "big splurge" as we were leaving the next day, and it did not disappoint nor was it that expensive. Of course, we were lucky to be in Europe when the dollar was actually a bit... More

I had the spaghetti carbonara.....Very lovely dish, plus I like the way the food is presented in the plate... Artistic almost. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Would definitely recommend it.

Booked a table from the Hotel at their recommendation. Good location and great food. From the wine to the cheese sampler to the entre and desert, the food and service was excellent. The owner even sent us home with a bottle of private label olive oil. Every thing you could ask for in an intimate settling at an upscale restaurant.

We had a lovely experience at this sweet little seafood restaurant near the Spanish Steps. First off,the owner who seated and waited on us was delightful. Warm, happy, a man who clearly loved what he did and took pride in his restaurant. We ordered a whole sea bass encrusted in salt. The presentation was fabulous. They first brought out the... More

The place is absolutely fantastic. It is a veritable mecca for every fine-dining lover, and, in our opinion, an absolute must to visit on one's Rome vacation or business trip. Crispi 19 is so positively different from the vast majority of other distinguished Rome restaurants that one's memorable dining experience is undoubtedly guaranteed. First, the location. It is about five... More

Seafood is the specialty of Crispi 19, a small restaurant near the city center. Very enthusiastic waiter staff (especially Rocco and Maurizio) and very good dishes (fresh lobster salad, their signature tuna tartare, and their grouper were very memorable dishes). If you are looking for a cozy spot to enjoy seafood, you are definitively at the right place in Rome.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
