Average food in a quiet location

The food is average and the prices just a little above average. It is in a quieter location than many in the area with a reasonable selection on the menu. Stayed around the corner at excellent Daniel's Hotel. So close to Spanish Steps and great area to stay in if you want to feel central and walk around Rome. We had two children (7&10) plus an 80+ mum with us so local restaurants for all the family at 7.30pm were what we were after. Went here twice in a 5day... More

Our first meal in Rome was at this restaurant, we didn't know what to expect as we were searching for Gluten Free (Senza Glutine) & to our surprise the first restaurant we asked provided Gluten free pasta! My boyfriend ordered a Salami pizza & I ordered a Gluten free pasta! The service was really good, we had a funny waiter... More

Recommended by our hotel as a nearby restaurant good for families. Nice atmosphere, paintings on the wall and all. The good part was one order of roasted chicken with potatoes: the chicken incredibly juicy and tender. The bad was a soup with order of focaccia (focaccia forgotten until midway through the meal) and two pizzas which tasted mostly of yeast.... More

Visited here at the end of March with my boyfriend. It is situated off a side road off the main road with all the shops so it was nice to get away. The service was good. The food was to die for. It has a wide selection and they were accommodating to vegetarians. The pasta was delicious and I wish... More

I really liked the restaurant. the paintings on the ceiling and walls are amazing. we were only having wine there, pretty late and all the waiters were so friendly and helpful. we enjoyed a lot, i would recommend the place just to actually see the paintings and feel the atmosphere. the wine was great too ;)

Perhaps one should really eat at restaurants several times before reviewing, but it is not always possible. We had an excellent lunch here recently. Were wandering the streets of Rome and happened to pass this restaurant and so went in. It is quite large, but that did not detract from the atmosphere at all and was not that busy, but... More

Good food in amazing surroundings, attentive service. But worth walking further down the road to number 27!

One of the better restaurants we have eaten at in Rome. Old time family owned restaurant with excellent food and attentive and professional service in a very warm and welcoming setting.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
