Informal local restaurant with huge wine selection

Nice local Italian restaurant. We had to wait a while for our order to be taken but food and drink were good. Really good house red. Asked for two salads to start which were delicious with lettuce, tomatoes, artichokes, carrots. Fresh pasta was delicious and one of the better pizzas we had in Italy.

We were out for a walk and decided just to call into this restaurant. We were given a very warm welcome from the time we walked in. The staff were very welcoming and very attentive. We decided on the 5 course tasting menu which was delicious. My mum ordered from the menu and her dinner was served appropriately with our... More

I was searching on Yelp for just the right place to enjoy dinner alone with only one night in Rome! As I wondered the neighborhood, I decided to skip all the regular listings and sneak into da Robertino's. This turned out to be an excellent choice, the table in the front with the little statuettes and tows initially caught my... More

My friend and I were wandering around Rome looking for a nice neighborhood restaurant. We were intrigued by this tiny little place with the larger dining room next door. The owner, Roberta, asked us to wait outside on a little deck. She brought us Prosecco and a little plate of nibbles which was lovely. After about a ten minute wait... More

I don't often review restaurants, but unfortunately have to share a bad experience with da Robertino. Firstly we came in for a celebratory meal as my wife had just completed the Rome Marathon earlier that day. The place was empty, but still the service was shockingly poor. We were given menus initially, but no wine list, which we had to... More

i think taht for many customers there isn't a satisfactory service . We tried to do everything to make you happy , True , there was not a lot of people but this not indicative of goodness ... they were even ten o'clock at night when you coming . More

We really wanted to try a restaurant down the street but there was a line up so we ended up here. It was expensive and the waitress seemed really put out by having to serve us. Not worth a visit. Much better places on the same street.

My wife and I were cordially invited to dine at da Robertino by the owner Roberta, whom we met at her other restaurant. We showed up on a Saturday night without a reservation, which was not very smart of us, and the place was completely booked, so we made a reservation for the next night instead. Roberta greeted us with... More

We ate on a Wednesday night at around 8.00pm – early by Rome standards and the restaurant was almost empty, although it did start to fill up by the time we left. The basket of homemade bread was the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant. There was a cheese baton, focaccia stuffed with beans and spinach. I could have... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
