Good choice when in Rome

Stopped here on a Sunday and arrived when a wedding reception was planned. Owner welcomed us anyway and fed us well. Very kind staff and quick service, food was good. Our only complaint was the price (120 E for 4 adults, 3 kids), quite unlike the price of ET food in the USA. Had the same... read more

The only thing nice is the setup of the restaurant. They have put up many traditional cloths and pictures that it looks lovely. BUT the food is terrible.. its absolutely terrible. If you know how Ethio food tastes like then you shouldnt go..you will be highly disappointed!! Poor staff.. or i shud say one cook also a waitress and a... More

We were in Italy for two weeks and this place was by far the best food and hospitality! As an ethiopian , I can attest that they use authentic Ethiopian Kebe (butter) which really often makes or breaks the Ethiopian dish. Giovanni and Faskia(owners) were so nice and offered us the best Ethiopian dish and Ethiopian drinks available. Felt like... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a reliable Roman food reviewer and it did not disappoint. Went with a native Roman who lives just a few miles away. He was glad to know of it and even happier when we ate! The owner was gracious and helpful. The food was incredible, tasty and very well seasoned. We got the... More

I had a great evening last Friday trying out Ethiopian specialties in this friendly family run restaurant. We had the house platter and it was way too big for 2 people and a lot more than in some of the other Ethiopian restaurants I have been to in Rome. The owner is Italian-Ethiopian and spoke in Amharic with my Ethiopian... More

While the location wasn't easy to locate, the restaurant was certainly tasty and offered a great introduction to Ethiopian/ Eritrean cuisine for my Italian friend who hadn't experienced the specific flavors before. We went together for lunch last Sunday, and the restaurant was empty. However, the simple decor and the Eritrean television program really added to the environment. Seconding a... More

After two years of not eating the food i grown up eating, this restaurant has just get me back on my test. The food was perfectly authentic and real Ethiopian test, the owner is absolutely down to earth person and he even let us try other Ethiopian drinks (Teji, Ouzo) just for free after he realized that we missed such... This is a relatively small restaurant, out of the touristic routes. Very friendly owner, consistently good food at a reasonable price. Nicely decorated but not fancy interiors. Clean restrooms.

It's a trek from the centre city to this restaurant way out on the Prenestina. The food is great, and the owner is nice. But the florescent lighting has got to go...both me and my friend did not like the lighting (big tubes.....some of them were blue which made it better, but the white ones have got to go). I... More
