Cosy place near Colosseum

Had just arrived to Rome and wanted just something. Found this place, close to my hotel. Small and cosy, I could have ordered anything, but since I was just so hungry I took the obvious one, Pasta Carbonara. The sauce was excellent with the pancetta, the only thing which took the grades down was... read more

My friend recommended this place, so I had high hopes. Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe it's just off-season. In any event, ours was a totally average meal, and probably the least memorable of any we had in Rome.

If you like Ravioli, this is the place! Also I had a nice beer there, ReAle, if you're into ales. Didn't have time to go there again on my short trip, but a short walk from Colosseum, definitely worth going up the small street for a nice meal, if you're not into the fast-food or expensive places just by the... Very pleasant location and food. The restaurant is located in a narrow street very close to the Colosseum but away from the main road where there is lots of traffic. Inside the atmosphere is welcoming and familiar thanks to the staff which was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and by far is the less tourist place where... More

Reviews and word of mouth suggested that this place not only had its heart in the right place--farm to table, local ingredients, etc.--but also plated up great food. Unfortunately, they talked better than they cooked. The staff was pleasant and attentive, but everything from the antipasti to the dolce was second rate. The bufalo mozzarella was tasteless, as was the... More

I had a tuna and aubergine dish here which was delicious. The quality of all the food and wine was well worth the slightly higher prices than elsewhere in this area. I would like to return to try more of their dishes - the cheeses looked superb.

We found this place thanks to TripAdvisor, and we were more than pleased. The place is simple, but nice. The staff is friendly, and nice. And the food is simply delicious. Probably the best one we had in Rome. We had to wait a bit more than I would say would be necessary, but the place was kind of crowded,... More

Or hotel recommended this and we spent three hours there on purpose. A small quaint place with an excellent wait staff. The menu was in italian only, but the very patient waiter explained every dish. The mozarella was to die for, carbonara pasta amazing, and rabbit was nit to be missed. I know, i know, rabbit is not the first... More

Though the place is crowded, the service is quick and the taste of the Pasta makes up for the wait. You can instantly feel the difference between the hand made pasta and all the store bought Pasta before. Also, the clean, fresh ingredients are a perfect compliment to the dish.
