This is a nIce looking restaurant situated in the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. The menu is a little more extensive than most and the prices looked reasonable so our party of 4 decided to give it a go. Our waiter seemed a bit brusque at first but he mellowed over time, with some effort on our part I must... More

If you want to eat the traditional Roman Food, then you have to try this restaurant. Located inside neighborhood of Trastevere in via della Paglia, the restaurant is very nyce and cheap. I can suggest: Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe Rigatoni con Pajata Trippa alla Romana Carciofi alla Giudia Enjoy

First of all I am a roman resident, so I think I can distinguish good local food. By local I mean the traditional recipes more popular here in Rome, especially (but not only) those based on "pasta" dishes: Pasta cacio e pepe, carbonara, matriciana (actually they serve a different version of it, in this restaurant), etc ... . What you... More

The food here is all home made and it shows as both our main courses tasted superb. Our waiter was excellent and provided fantastic service. He gave us complimentary bruschetta when the main course took a bit longer than expected an both of us had a hearty meal and great bottle of wine for 34 Euros. What a bargain!

We are here on the evening of fri 20 June and went because our guide book recommended it for its traditionalRoman cuisine. The food itself was OK, nothing special, but tasty, although the portions were inconsistent. I had spaghetti with prawns, and got a good plateful, but my husbands tortellini was tiny. However, my gripe is not with the food... More

Good morning, thank you for your review. About the service we would explain that in these days we have had only one chef, because the second is on vacation and he will back soon. This is the cause of the little delay which have assisted. We're sorry for inconvenience and we hope to see you again, since you have appreciated... More

Two of us went for lunch today. The food was ok. The seafood risotto was pretty good & ravioli alla Romana (w spinach & red sauce) was acceptable. But the red sauce in both the risotto & on the ravioli tasted like it was from a can. The house white wine tasted kind of cheap, but then at 3Euro a... More

This is the real thing, a traditional Italian trattoria, steps away from Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. The filet mignon is the best we've had outside of Argentina, the grilled sea bream was great. We came back here twice and would love to visit again.

We recently ate at this restaurant and it was. It good! You must walk past the food warmer to get to the table, and you get to see the pre-cooked, warmed over food that you will be served. The pizza was limp and soggy and my artichokes were cold. The service was mediocre at best. There are so many wonderful... More

Hi, we are sorry for your review, but we don't understand how is possible that you had receive pre-cooked food when we cook the dishes just only are requested by the customers. Another point is: you have ordered "romans artichokes" like starters, and the tradition tolds that artichokes could be served hot or cold, sure we not service cold artichokes... More

The tiramisu was excellent, as well as the rest of our food. It felt like a very traditional restaurant, and although the waiters looked very unfriendly, it didn't ruin our experience. I guess it's something to do with Rome in general, hardly anywhere did we find smiley, friendly people. That aside, the pasta was delicious, the portions were of the... More

I am Italian and I always warn friends and colleagues going to Rome to choose their restaurants carefully, since most of them are tourist traps or simply improvised eateries. This place is probably both. The location and the atmosphere, especially for a foreigner tourist, might look great. Unfortunately the "rustic" atmosphere is not created on purpose, but comes from the... More

Good evening, we are sorry for his comment so negative, but on many positive comments on our quality and excellent quality / price ratio we take his disappointment with the pliers. With all due respect to you, but we know we offer good food, so much so that we buy daily supplies for the same day. The low price is... More
