Two of us went for lunch today. The food was ok. The seafood risotto was pretty good & ravioli alla Romana (w spinach & red sauce) was acceptable. But the red sauce in both the risotto & on the ravioli tasted like it was from a can. The house white wine tasted kind of cheap, but then at 3Euro a... More

This is the real thing, a traditional Italian trattoria, steps away from Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. The filet mignon is the best we've had outside of Argentina, the grilled sea bream was great. We came back here twice and would love to visit again.

We recently ate at this restaurant and it was. It good! You must walk past the food warmer to get to the table, and you get to see the pre-cooked, warmed over food that you will be served. The pizza was limp and soggy and my artichokes were cold. The service was mediocre at best. There are so many wonderful... More

Hi, we are sorry for your review, but we don't understand how is possible that you had receive pre-cooked food when we cook the dishes just only are requested by the customers. Another point is: you have ordered "romans artichokes" like starters, and the tradition tolds that artichokes could be served hot or cold, sure we not service cold artichokes... More

The tiramisu was excellent, as well as the rest of our food. It felt like a very traditional restaurant, and although the waiters looked very unfriendly, it didn't ruin our experience. I guess it's something to do with Rome in general, hardly anywhere did we find smiley, friendly people. That aside, the pasta was delicious, the portions were of the... More

I am Italian and I always warn friends and colleagues going to Rome to choose their restaurants carefully, since most of them are tourist traps or simply improvised eateries. This place is probably both. The location and the atmosphere, especially for a foreigner tourist, might look great. Unfortunately the "rustic" atmosphere is not created on purpose, but comes from the... More

Good evening, we are sorry for his comment so negative, but on many positive comments on our quality and excellent quality / price ratio we take his disappointment with the pliers. With all due respect to you, but we know we offer good food, so much so that we buy daily supplies for the same day. The low price is... More

Great food in a very unassuming restaurant. The most amazing, melt in the mouth pizza I have ever had and fabulous homemade pasta. The service was very good and the tables outside were all full. Would recommend.

A very restaurant near our hotel in Trastevere recommended by the hotel. It did not let us down. Good service from a friendly waiter on a very hot and busy evening. Food was authentic and good quality with the pasta home made we think. It certainly tasted like it. Wine selection OK but for some reason we didn't get any... More

We have just completed over 4 weeks in Italy and have eaten in a wide range of eateries all over the country. This restaurant was not our first choice but due to the late time on a Friday night, we soon discovered why there were empty seats. The food can best be described as adequate but the service can only... More

Hi, we're sorry for your negative comment, but we don't understand what's wrong with the meal. We have waiters with certain positions, both outside and inside the room, the waiter inside can not interfere with the work of colleague who has served you. You wrote that the food is good and does not advice our restaurant just because a waiter... More

We stayed in Rome May 2013 and the meal we had here was the best. Very good value, tasty food, lovely dessert & cheese. Staff rather dour which has been commented on previously- our waiter did smile at my not good attempt speaking Italian! Shame the restaurant next door was packed whilst La Tana was empty but we had read... More

We planned an evening stroll in Trastevere and were delighted to find this friendly, authentic, family restaurant that was real value for money. My perfect Filet Mignon with cream and green pepper sauce cost a princely 15E and the excellent side salad 5E. Our order for two large Nastro Azzurro beers resulted in a long conversation with the waiter about... More
