I discovered this place after a review in the new York times. A lovely little neighborhood gelateria which recently opened a branch in Piazza del Popolo, so it saves you a lot of time. Try the fondant grand marnier & apple/mint flavors.

Great gelate. Very rich of taste. I've had many different gelate in Rome, this one is not the best, but top 3.

Close to our B&B. Unbelievable gelato flavors. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. What else is there to say.

Walk in a grab a number— the line should move fast. There are few places to sit, but it's more fun to hang with the locals on the sidewalk outside anyways. We tried pistachio and stracciatella (the staples), but any flavor is probably equally amazing.

Traditional and atypical flavors abound at this small gelataria. We had a pear and ricotta gelato that was rich and creamy with the ricotta adding the perfect element of savory to the sweet pear. It is worth a visit to try their creations.

You definitely should go there and try pistachio gelato. It was one of the best (if nit the best) I've ever tried!!! For fruit tastes lovers I would also recommend melon and peach. This gelateria is popular among locals. Every time I went there, there was a queue which did not take too long as guys at the counter were... More

Try everything and anything -- it's bound to be delicious. The Cubano (dark chocolate and rum), fraggola (strawberry) and pistachio is to die for.

As with many great establishments such as restaurants, a long cue indicates either phenomenal products or outstanding service. The cue in the gelateria may not be as long as the Vatican some metres away. But when in Rome, in summer especially, gelato is quite the staple, unless one is lactose-intolerant. I have no means finding out if the Gelateria dei... More

My partner and I walked a long way to try this gelateria based on so many glowing reviews but were sorely disappointed. It's difficult to find bad gelato. Maybe the flavours and textures were just too experimental for us, I don't know? The apple and mint wasn't enjoyable with too much of what tasted like pureed apple pulp. The caramel... More

We were attracted to this little gelateria because people including local people queuing outside in the street to go in!! It has a number ticket system, you take as you go in, which shows how busy it is! Beautiful flavours, too many to choose from. We had almond and orange (gorgeous!) zabaglione :) and pistachio and meringue. All beautiful. We... More
