I've had better meals at other locations but what made Strega nice was Nino` Great personality and very pleasant demeanor that made up for the lackluster meal. Ate there 3 times and nothing ever blew my socks off but at least when Nino was working we enjoyed his company and banter. A bit over priced for what you get.

First they had no running water in the toilet or sink. I had to get the soap off my hands with towel. The veal saltimboca was average but i had 1 small piece and the garnish was romaine lettuce. My wife had swordfish and it seemed frozen then cooked. The garnish was romaine and black olives out of a can.... More

My wife thought this restaurant was perfect for meeting our simple expectations. It is only a block from the Marriott. We wanted a quick, but tasty, meal before walking around the local attractions. My carbonara pasta was prepared perfectly and my wife's pizza was good. We also got 3 espressos - all for under 40 EUR. Our server was very... More

Average food at high prices and then things get a lot worse. Our bill for one course came to E77. I presented my credit card to pay and the waiter informed me that he would need a tip in cash for "his work" I ignored the comment and he went off with my card to process the payment. He later... More

TOURIST TRAP ON THE VIA VENETO: The sad part about this restaurant is that it takes advantage of unknowing tourists who just want an enjoyable Roman experience. This restaurant denies it to tourists by serving very mediocre bland food & wine. And...makes you feel like a chump because you fell for its nice exterior. SHAME ON THEM: Instead of being... More

We were completely ripped off! Had some stale croissants, an oily omelette and some flavourless hot chocolate for 70 euros. The waiter was rude and rushed us out of the door. Absolutely awful experience!

Ripped off (overpriced for average quality coffee and cake), and then robbed by waiter. He was pushy and arrogant. When he brought us the bill, the small cake was missing from there but asked us to pay 4 euros more on top of the bill. He pocketed that money as I found afterwards. I asked afterwards another waiter and found... More

We were hooked into this cafe by a very pushy waiter. My husband was happy to stay because of the prospect of eating a burger, after a week of italian fare. After we were seated, the waiter promptly disappeared, and only reappeared when we looked like leaving. Meals took ages to arrive, despite the cafe being nearly empty. Husband's burger... More

We sat down at this sidewalk caffe after being ' hooked in' by the waiter. We ordered our drinks and food. Our drinks arrived in about 10 minutes but the food seemed to never appear. Finally, we told the server we were ready to leave. He told us ' 2 minutes' and disappeared from the sidewalk for 15 minutes. When... More

This restaurant is on the Via Veneto, we had an enjoyable lunch with good service. Nothing was rushed as we were a little early for lunch. They make sandwiches that you can buy to take away. We shared antipasto, we each had a pasta dish a half bottle of wine and espresso and the bill was a little higher than... More
