after viewing the castle, it's a nice break to snack and enjoy the best of views. The castle dates to pre-Christian times and goes all the way with renovation to the Renaissance.

This is a quiet special setting that has amazing views of the Vatican & city. There are many coffee shops & lunch places but this was a wonderful break from the busier street places.

Considering all the great coffee shops on nearly every corner of Rome, this one's coffee didn't stand out in a good or bad way.... but it was nice to sit and enjoy a java while looking out over the city. Generally, order Cappuccino, Mocha, Espresso or some other specialty coffee while in Europe. They are great, but their plain coffee... More

The Castle doesn't take so long to walk around that it would warrant you having to spend your time here. Just wait until you're out and take advantage of the many other coffee shops (preferably across the water where it's not as crazy). The Castle is interesting, but the coffee shop isn't and there is no guarantee of a view.... More

Got to sit in a bay on the edge of the castle, with the best view of the Vatican, could not fault the views. However table was a bit dirty as were the chairs. Food was average for a lunch break, but if tired walking round the castle it is worth the money as wasn't too expensive.

An idyllic spot to laze over a lovely coffee while mulling over your tour of this beautiful historic sight. A must see for Rome and the Vatican tourist. Spectacular museum as well with plenty to see

The plus is nice view, also the staff behaviour is OK, but nothing more... Before listing minuses, I will only tell that I live in Italy (Lombardy) since almost 2 years, travelling within Italy in this period and also before, therefore I think that I have at least minimum knowledge and comparison of Italian food quality. I know that the... More

We ended our afternoon here after touring the Castel Sant'Angelo. The staff worked hard and we had good service. We only had some drinks and snacks. We actually paid at the end and gave a reasonable tip. She was extremely appreciative and brought us a smoked salmon sandwich, that was quite good. The waitress told us that normally she has... More

It is good just for a coffee... it is not a good idea eat or drink something more, just seat 5 minutes to take a rest and take some photos, too much expensive!

Recommended by our concierge - worst meal we had in all of italy - pasta was dry, the wine was warm and the service was horrendous.
