Good food with very very slow service

During my stay in Rome I had eaten very good food here.Despite that I am not really keen to return as the service was extremely slow. Takes a lot of time to order something to bring and much more time to get the order and the check.

A very easy, leisurely 20 min walk from St. Peters Basilica finds you ready to eat at one of Rome's nicest family owned restaurants, La Florentine (founded in 1942). However, "family owned" does not fit that stereotype of shabby, old, etc. This is update, wonderfully decorated & a true local hotspot. In fact their bakery is renowned and produces some... More

The food in this restaurant is good and the Price was the correct, but the service was very bad. I cannot confirm but my feeling was that the treatment for Italian people was better than for us.

Very inviting as it has home made dishes however the service was very slow. Food was standard. Nice decor and warm feeling.

Do not go here for a quiet dinner! Food and service average at best. The place is noisy, so not a romantic dinner location. Grade: C.

Food very good but service leaves much to be desired. Very slow. We waited about 20mins for a menu. But also noticed there were only 2 waiters

We stayed close to I Musei Vaticani and this restaurant was a few blocks away - on Via Andrea Doria. The street is quite wide as are the sidewalks and so we ate outside. Spacious and well-lit yet certainly removed from the passers-by. The waiter was a nice guy, very professional. We had 2 appetizers - calamari and a chicken... More

This restaurant was suggested to us by the hotel at which we were staying. The appetizers and entries were good. There were 5 of us and we ordered 3 desserts. One dessert was fine, one less than average and the other was miserable The service was adequate-slow during the first half of the meal (when the restaurant was the busiest).... More

Good pasta Carbonara, nice seafood plate no rush. Good service. Not to expensive, for 3 peoples with a house red wine for 72 euro
