Tiramisu is perfect, such as the espresso and latte machiatto. The staff is friendly enough, service is quickly.

Had lasagna and peppe n caccio with zuccini and their flowers, were both excellent, house wine also very pleasant Super warm decoration, enjoyed much also a genuine kindness from the ladies running the place On the disadvantages, it is small and extremely popular, so don't bother going without reservation

We were on our first trip to Rome, discovering Italian food. The food at Ditta was special, out of the ordinary and really delicious. We should have kept closer watch on how much were spending on those fine glasses of wine....but that was our enthusiasm! Trastevere is not short of good restaurants, but Ditta is one we would definitely recommend.

Nice food.the wine of the house wasn't that good.cesair salad tasty.the design overcomes the clients comfort as the space between tables is minimum and the desks used for tables don t leave enough space for the feet.in any case it is a very pleasant place with good food.

My family a I had a wonderful dinner in Ditta Trinchetti, menu with great tasting authentic Italian dishes, unique ideas and gourmet ingredients. To die for Fetuccini alla Bolongnese, roasted Lamb and good breaker "hamburguer with cheddar/egg" (no bread).

We ate lunch here mid afternoon, which was kind of between lunch and dinner. I think due to this, the staff were a little less attentive than they could have been, but it was quiet, clean and cool inside and the food was absolutely delicious (especially cheese with walnuts and honey!) Also liked that the interior was not cliche like... More

We stayed in Trastervere for a week around Christmas and tried a different restaurant each night. While we had many good meals at very reasonable prices, Ditta Trinchetti was easily the very best. Super food, good service and a warm and inviting ambiance. My partner is a vegetarian and while it is not difficult to get veggie food in Rome... More

What a lovely place. The food was excellent, fresh and artfully prepared without fuss. The staff were friendly and helpful. All together very good value, open early in the evening, a small but comfortable and casual setting, slightly hip. You will not be disappointed.

Very friendly, good service, great value. Food was fresh, less fatty, great quality - traditional options with a contemporary flair. Lots of vegetable options (which we were missing in Italy) and great flavours. Excellent value

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
