Dragging ourselves home from a long day at the colosseum it was a pleasure to find this restaurant, we had the drink with all you can eat, such fantastic value!

Our hotel was in the Monti district of Rome, near Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colosseum. We were very happy when we discovered Opio Caffe and Bar del Mose' for our morning coffees (double espressos or cappuccinos) before we started our walking tours for the day. Both places serve that wonderfully strong, somewhat bitter, full of crema Roman... More

Oppio Caffe was recommended to us by our Roman tour guide. We had been walking in the beating sun all morning and were drained. Before going into the Colosseum, she recommended we have lunch in this restaurant, she had tried them all, and she knew this one to have decent prices and food. Everyone in our tour group ate inside... More

Warm and friendly place to have a drink around the Colosseum. Tourist friendly and very convenient to get in and out quickly if needed. I will be back here for sure!

Summer in Rome is HOT, when visiting the colosseum I recommend this caffe, it is fully air conditioned which is not common in Rome, service and food are very good and it is just a block away from the colosseum and two blocks away from the San Pietro in vin oil church that houses Michel Angelo's Moses.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. My daughter was glad to see burgers on the menu and those were okay. However, the pasta was dried from a box (cooked, of course) and as boring as it gets. The service was friendly, but about 1/3 of our order was incorrect or forgotten completely.

After a morning in the chaos of the sites found air conditioning and free wifi with good food. We had a basic meal of pizza and a beer for 6 overlooking the colesseum. Also important 4 happy teenagers managing to catch up on social network.

After visiting the colosseum we stopped at this cafe for an expresso & smoothie. There isn't much outdoor seating, but if you do snatch an outside table, it has the best view of the colosseum. My daughters loved taking pictures w/the beautiful background.

Much needed respite from the midday sun and the sheer chaos of the Colesseum. We were lucky to find an outside table, as it was very busy and was on a hill, overlooking the Colesseum and the Forum. The food was good, pizzas and salads (fresh and crisp), and the beer welcomingly cold. The interior was clean, bright and modern.... More
