Nice little cafe/restaurant facing the Colosseum just uphill from the Coliseo Metro stop. Food and service was very good. Ate here 1930 Sunday March 1. Biggest waste of time in Rome. Waited 10 mins for drinks, then 40 mins for some un edible pasta. Tasted like dish soap mixed with noodles and butter. I really don't know how you can mess up bacon, but they do!! Everywhere is better than here.

We sat for some time no one came, we went in, only to be told to get out and wait. Tiramisu was frozen in centre, uninterested staff. Extremely excessive service charge. Tiramisu price display €4, each was charged €6 each! Told it was service charge on each. The food was awful. Don't bother.

Loved the large lattes & the staff were very friendly. A nice place to relax to good music right beside the Colosseum.

In 2005 my husband & I found Oppio's and enjoyed it so much. Over the years we have taken many friends to share our enjoyment with them. In 2012 when we brought our daughter and husband and were embarrassed at the food quality and staff was so-so. Today we stopped in for a coffee at the bar and were treated... More

we were at the Colosseum, and looking for a place to sit and have some coffee and sandwich. for a small cappuccino, chocolate and tomato&mozzarella sandwich we paid 20 euro, and for my opinion it is a very high price, but i guess we paid for sitting in this area and not just on food and drinks. the sandwich was... food was pretty good and quite reasonable in price, staff were helpful and friendly. Great view of the Colosseum :) I would avoid the toilets as they were pretty horrific...

Overlooking the Roman Colosseum, Oppio Caffe has a view that is hard to beat (if you can secure one of the tables on that side). The food, however, is not all that spectacular. We had a pizza that was adequate (though the black olives were tasteless). The service was also kind of standoffish, and it took an awfully long time... More
