Located up a slight hill to the north of the Colosseum, this is a perfect place to rest after a long day of touring. The food is simple and the Caffe is frequented by locals as well as tourists. Tight seating in the outdoor tables. Looks out to the Colosseum and across the street to a not very well maintained... More

We recently visited Rome and were looking for a place for lunch after our tour of the Colosseum. Very convenient to get to, just walk up the metro stairs and to the next block. Sitting outside has a nice view ( currently lots of scaffolding) but there is a lot of traffic and fumes because of this. Food was decent... More

Having been in Italy for 3 days I had the pleasure of eating a few places serving fantastic pizza, pasta, salads etc. Unfortunately Oppio could not even match the taste of a frozen pizza from Asda. My pizza was very thin, enemic and tasted like it had been in a microwave and the cosmopolitan left alot to be desired. The... More

We came back to this place only for the view. It has the best view of the Colliseum but the service is bad and the food terrible. Just order a coffee and enjoy the view at sunset.

Great food, had mussels, shrimp and calamari. Great service with a smile. Enjoyed the location even though the scaffolding was on view.

After our visit to Colosseum late October 2014 we went for a little bite to eat to Oppio. We were greeted by a friendly waiter and seated in the outside patio area. We had 2 different waiters who mixed up our order and caused considerable delays between the meals. I ordered a glass of house red which was €7 (ooft)... More

We went for an evening meal. We had burgers, they weren't anything special. If you are passing and want some lunch go in for a quick bite with a good view of the colosseum but my advice, walk a bit further and find something more exciting!

We had a late night dinner at Oppio Caffe after coming back from Tuscany. Mauro was very attentive and made great recommendations for our meal. To top off the evening he suggested the lemon desert and it was right on. So was Mauro. Great place to have coffee and croissant in the morning or a wonderful dinner overlooking the Coliseum.

Just needed a light easy lunch. Both of us ordered a salad.... they were just the right size, light, full of flavour. Perfect. We sat looking straight at the Colloseum. No bad comments.
