We were recommended by our concierge who booked a table for my wife and I it was the best food, service we experienced for our stay in Rome.

For a long time now, we have visited Osteria del Gallo during our first evening of every trip. We did so again this time, but sadly I must say that it was the last time. Don't get me wrong: our favourite dish, grilled calamari, was still prepared nearly perfectly (although there are a couple of places that do it even... More

Our first dinner on this trip and it was disappointing. The lamb had good flavor but was tough. The mushrooms (porcini) were good cooked in olive oil. Tagliatelle with tomato and gorgonzola as not bad. Had hoped we would have a better meal. Would not go back.

This was a nice small restaurant just behind the busy streets of Rome. We had great food and good service. We especially liked the daily special which was the Lasagna.

Our Gluten Free Dining in Italy book had this restaurant listed and as other gluten free dining establishment in the area were closed for vacation we ended up here. Located close to Piazza Navona off a narrow alley, there are several outdoor tables but on a hot, humid August afternoon, the air conditioned interior was much preferred. Gluten free bread... More

This Restaurant is one big fail ! Looks lovley from the outside. But as soon as you sit on the table the bad part begins. There is a non existent to not say unfriendly service. The food is the worst I ate in all of Rome ! Seems like they use convenience foods. The best thing about the Restaurant was... More

My wife and I had been looking for a quiet place to eat, and went back to this place after having passed it earlier. It looked like the sort of thing we were after, namely traditional Italian cuisine at reasonable prices, and this is exactly what we got. The house's red wine (priced at €12 for a liter!) was above... More

Like the title says, totally rubbish food. Pasta was acceptable, secondi of chicken was inedible. Overcooked, dry chicken breast in what I can only describe as a tin of tomatoes. No seasoning, no flavour, horrible texture. Service was non-existent. They didn't bring our sides and failed to comment on the fact that I hadn't touched my secondi. You can do... More

My wife and me choose this restaurant for a lovely evening and good food. My wife ordered a vegetarian pizza. I ordered Carpaccio and baby octopus. First of all, ambiance of restaurant is okay. but the food bad... They brought Breasola instead of Carpaccio (I think that that is it is the easy & cheap way for them). But the... More
