Nice, cosy italian restaurant

Very good pasta, friendly staff, good price. Pizzas looked delicious as well. A bit hidden for the crowd, authentic feel about it.

Osteria Del Gallo menu has some interesting sounding dishes which is what first attracted us, as there is only so much pizza you can eat. I had the Octopus, potato and celery salad which was a first for me and I have to say I would definitely have it again. My main course of gnocchi was OK but not quite... More

Restaurant is up a small lane with not much else there. The chatter from the tables on the street provided a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was good. There wasn't a lot on the menu that appealed to me but had the bruschetta to start and the clam linguine which was very nice. It wasn't the best restaurant we visit... More

This restaurant is close to Piazza Navona but on a quiet street away from the crowds. We were tired and were looking for a quiet spot to have a simple dinner, and this was perfect. Nothing extraordinary, but nice. Good mixed salad and good octopus salad (heavy on the potatoes), good salmon carpaccio and good (and the biggest I've ever... More

So I know it is kind of unusual to focus on the potatoes, but we stopped here for lunch and what I ordered was pretty good, but the potatoes, which were a side dish, were amazing. My daughter and I both commented on how amazing they were. I got the bruschetta with anchovies and that was pretty good too. My... More

We happened upon the restaurant by chance near Piazza Navona, down a quiet side street, as we were looking for somewhere for lunch. We sat outside and the service was very good. We shard a pizza which was delicious, whilst sitting back and enjoying the calm environment.

Ended up here partly because we were out in the middle of dinner time for italians, so everything was full, and partly because of the wonderful smell of grilled meat. The service is not so great, but not bad either. Just nothing special, I guess. My husband ordered ravioli, which I immediately regretted to order myself. They were delicious!! I... More

We walked in around 8pm and got a table easily- that was a good sign there are many better places around... The service was on the poor side, even for Rome. We didnt enjoy the food - the taste was average, servings were small. We were sitting inside and the environment was not cozy, somehow cold and unwelcome. At the... More

Got seated quickly finding reasonably priced entrees. However the food was only okay. A waiter (not ours) hustled by and put bread on the table without asking if we wanted it - fortunately we knew that we would be charged for it. Overall not very attentive... as in not at all. No reason to go back with so many other... More
