Tiny pub, terrific staff, terrific beer

This is a truly tiny pub (6 seats at the bar and a few tables in the back), with multiple beers on tap -- including some really terrific Italian craft beers (Brewfist Son of a Gun was fabulous). The bartender, Dario, was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Don't come here for a meal, come here for... read more

Busy - packed, even, on a Thursday night. Solid local offerings on draft available. If there is food, it's not the focus here - it's all about the beer in this arch-vaulted tight little bar. You might rub shoulders with someone interesting you can bond over beer with - or you can just go through all the beers they have.... More

Very nice craft beer! We have tried a lot of them, everyone different from each other. For a chill-experience is perfect!

We went to the bar cause we read it is one of the 20 best pubs in the world to have a beer. The pub is really nice. The beer was amazing, really tasteful. They have a lot of kinds of beer and they chance all the time. So each day you can enjoy a different one. I strongly recommend... More

This place came highly recommended by a good friend and self proclaimed beer ambassador. It did not disappoint. Staff is terrific and knowledgeable. You can tell yourself you will stop for just one beer, but expect to stay for three or four! It is a favorite stop of beer connoisseurs from all over the world and you will look at... More

You can find a large variety of local beers. There are not many places to sit inside. It might be better to have a drink outside anyways :)

Dropped into this place with my wife as we wanted to spend the day in Trastevere in Rome. Direct translation of the bar name means 'What the hell did you come here for?" Beer of course!!!! This is a great find if your a craft beer lover! Small bar with different craft beers to chose from. The barman was very... More

If you have had enough wine or just want something different this is the place to go for beer. Small beer bar serving craft beer in Rome. Service is quick! Cash only! Beer is cold and great variety from Italy and German craft breweries. Having footy on also helps.

The Trastevere area is one of the most typical in Rome. Students and young people gathering, a lot of restaurant. We went to this one upon suggestion of the hotel. You can taste the typical Roman Food, such as fried artichoke, abbacchio. Quite cheap, the quality is the one you would expect and the staff... quite as rude as you... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
