We ate ice cream all over Rome but we came back twice here as the flavours were very fresh and tasty! My fiance preferred the sorbets and he loved the apple and cinnamon flavour. I prefer proper gelato and I had a cone with tiramesu, vanilla choc chip and chocolate and cherry flavours and they were all good! I didn't... More

Rome has plenty of gelato shops. Their is a gelato shop in every corner like London has pubs. But if you want to taste something seriously inspired then you really need to visit this place. It shouldn't be too out of the way since it's short walk from Piazza Navona and Pantheon. The selection is well thought out and they... More

I reviewed this Gelateria in Trip Advisor, and when felt like "ice-cream time" I went searching for it. At the same minute it started raining, so it was difficult to find it. the place is hidden but when you find it - it is the best! The overall look is a bit disappointing and I thought maybe the advise wasn't... More

...and the other sorts are just the same! (come back to pistachio, nutty and sweet, you taste the nut, good consistence, nice colour, perfect!) Worth a visit and a try! Fantastic and near the hotspots but in a quiet and nice roman street. Roma at its best!

All four members of our family liked it so much we returned repeatedly - even twice a day since the gelato is so light and refreshing. Take the time to get out of the main tourist areas and find this exceptional gelateria.

Despite liking to try out different places, I revisited this gelateria on the strength of the first visit. They've not got the biggest selection but it's certainly big enough (about 20-30) and you can see them making the gelato in an adjoining kitchen. The ingredients are all fresh and the flavours are exciting and delicious - trifle, Sicilian cake, rosemary,... More

THE best gelateria in Rome. Try raspberry and sage, chocolate and red wine or white chocolate and basil. Truly unique experience.

We spent a week travelling around Italy and tried gelato at various shops -- some recommended by guide books, and some we just stumbled upon -- in Rome, Florence and Venice. Gelateria del Teatro in Rome remains our favorite of all. You can watch them making their gelato right there in the front of the store. They use lots of... More

Really yummie icecream! Worth it to to stand in the queue, worth it to walk an extra few hundred meters! Strawberry icecream full of fresh strawberries! Almond, pistachio, hazelnut superb, but also less common tastes like lavendel & honey, raspberries and sage, etc

I have always been a big fan of San Crispino but after having the gelato here, I have found a new place. We had dinner across the street where I was able to observe them making it in the back and the obvious enjoyment of customers eating it in the front. I had no doubt, we were going to decline... More
