Lovely meal but a bit on the expensive side

Our family enjoyed this restaurant even if the owner was a little "bossy" with her approach to us. It was a bit touristy and on the pricy side, the staff were attentive and polite and good quick service.

Myself and a couple of friends were on the last evening of our visit to Rome and decided to check this place out as we'd seen some of the great reviews on here, and it was close to both our hotel and Termini station. The experience certainly didn't disappoint! It was around 8:30pm on a Sunday night, and as we... More

My first pit stop after dumping bags at my accommodation last night... Lovely, warm and swift welcome. Beautiful layout and atmosphere. Pleasant faces and service and all were brilliant with their English which I always appreciate! Food was served fast, hot and tasted incredible. I had the bruschetta and pasta bolognese... Both I'd love to have again, but there's plenty... More

We went here as we were staying around the corner and the hotel staff recommended it. Thankfully we weren't disappointed. I had Parmigiana and salad and my partner had a pizza. I then had a lemon sorbet. Both meals were excellent. The staff were very efficient and friendly. We would have gone back if we had been staying longer.

We stayed nearby and stopped in one night. The staff was the friendliest we had in our whole time in Rome. Prices were reasonable. Food was ok.

The food was fresh and delicious, but the real stars of the show were the staff. Welcoming, friendly, attentive... We felt so at home. We are only in Rome for four nights, and we will visit Babbo's again!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
