Babbo's delivers a high quality menu with an excellent selection of sea food and meat dishes to choose from. I especially enjoyed the sea food dishes, which I believe were excellent value and there were also several very good wines to choose from. My favourite dish was the sea bass with tomatoes and a white wine sauce. On the meat... more

Close to our hotel, Babbo’s was recommended by Trip Advisor and our hotel staff (which caused some hesitation). We enjoyed the anchovies and the fresh focaccia bread. The clams were tough with linguini in a nondescript sauce. The mixed meats might have well been mixed socks.....unless of course you enjoy fat, bone and gristle. We won’t return. more

Ate there a few years ago and made a point to return two more times this trip. Excellent food, get there a little early, lines start to form later on in the evening. Everything we've ever eaten there was wonderful. more

I was surprised by the negative reviews on Babbos. We went there almost a year ago, in November 2008 and was recommended the place by the owner of Hotel Welrome, which was just across the street from the restaurant. We loved the pizza and ended up eating dinner (either eating there or take-out) from Babbos for the 3 of the... more

I'm stunned at the negative reviews of this place. My only disappointment is having not discovered it until our next to last day in Rome. Maybe it is because I live in New York City, but calling the area in which the restaurant is located unsafe is ridiculous. The area is NOT unsafe at all, and it is no less... more

We went there twice on out visit to Rome--- It was close to our hotel [Hotel Diocleziano] and after eating there the first time. we dicided to go back. The food was good and we had house wine, which was reasonably priced and very good. The focciaco bread was excellent. We also enjoyed pasta and sea bass. more

Babbo's was recommended by a near-by B&B. We enjoyed it so much, we returned the next night for supper too (why fool with something that is good!). Food and wine was excellent, good prices, service superb, staff professional but friendly. The owner, Sabrina was a delight and made us feel special. The complementary liquors at the end of our evenings... more

The best restaurant in Rome??? You must be joking! Not the worst but very poor quality. We went to many better restaurants than this and cheaper too. Sad experience, not suggested. more

My husband and I did not care for this place at all. Know that in Italy, you will get charged for everything! Water is not free. The bread basket that they put on the table ... definitely not free! We started out with 2 appetizers. The caprese salad tasted strange. He ordered the clams and linguini ... the look on... more
