This area has some good eating places so it was only on our last night in Rome that we ate there .Charming efficient service from the two waitresses and while we ate simple the food was all good , nice relaxing place and would like to have gone again

We ate here last night on the recommedation of our hotel staff. It was a short walk from where we were staying and we are so glad that we went! We were greeted by a gentelman whom I would assume to be the manager and quickly seated. We arrived early and were the second table seated for dinner. Tamara was... More

We had garlic cheese bread but it was more like pizza than garlic bread. It was pretty tasteless. We had smoked cheese with pears, honey and walnuts as an appetizer. It was OK and we used it with the so-called garlic cheese bread. Our entrees were sea bass and vegetables and spaghetti with broccoli with cream sauce and cheese. Overall,... More

Ate here after reading reviews on Trip Advisor as it was quite close to our hotel. I had high expectations but to be honest was disappointed. The starters were fine but the main courses, secret recipe pasta dishes were average , too rich in my opinion. The service was friendly and pleasant. Was not happy that we were charged €4... More

This restaurant was recommended by our airbnb host and it was amazing! The food was great; it's known for seafood and fish so get that! I got pasta with clams for my primi and sea bass for my segundi and they were both amazing. They even gave us a complimentary dessert and little cups of wine. The staff were friendly... More

This restaurant was close to the hotel that I stayed. After a tiring day walking in the streets of Rome, we were coming back to the hotel when we noticed Babbo's pizzeria. We decided to come in and we were surprised with the taste of the pizza. It was very good. I am very critic about tuna pizza because I... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and is just down the street so after a long day sightseeing in the pouring rain it was perfect. We shared a starter of Parma ham and mozzarella and garlic bread, which was lovely, I had a tasty lasagne while my daughter had a delicious steak (5*) and we shared the tiramisu that... More

We came here as a recommendation from our hotel. Food was very good. My pasta with clams and zucchini was delicious. The lasagna was incredible. Staff was pleasant.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
