Good choice for lunch en route to Borghese Gallery; open Sunday

The food and service was incredible. The restaurant was extremely busy however the waiters remained attentive. I'd highly recommend the arancino to start and the chocolate fondant! Also one of the only restaurants I visited that gives out free bread haha!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our B&B (Deko Rome) a few years ago. We have returned every year-multiple times. The food and atmosphere is great here. The staff is truly customer service focused. Although my Italian is still a work in progress they always let me communicate in Italian and they return the favor then in a split... More

Had dinner here as it had been recommended by our hotel nearby and it didn't disappoint. The buffalo mozzarella starter was fabulous. All in all a very enjoyable meal with a nice, reasonably priced bottle of Pinot Grigio. We sat overlooking the chef making some of the meals and the steaks looked lovely. Very nice presentation. Service was a tad... More

Great local restaurant! Went here for lunch. Highly recommend the spicy tomato pizza and the anchovie and zucchini flower pizza. Yum!

We had a lovely lunch here with pizza and pasta. Both were very good but with wine was 40 euro. I thought that was very pricy for lunch.

Had two "ok" pizzas and a salad and paid €40. Salad was disgusting. Service was ok. Severly overpriced, but I guess it's the area. Don't waste a meal there.

After a few days in Rome, we finally found a place where food lived up to expectations. Clean and good service. Menu with lots of options. We came back to eat once more and would have gone again if we had more days in Rome. Location is OK, but it is not a place where you sit and watch the... More

We ate at San Marco on our last night in Rome, looking for something not too upscale and walking distance from our hotel. We arrived early by Roman standards but were seated outside in a pleasant dining patio. Interestingly there were already a number of people eating there and not all were American tourists. The place did get rather busy... More

The pasta dish, Tonnarelli with cacio cheese and pepper was amazing. My husband had a sausage and mushroom pizza. Absolutely fresh and not overcooked. So good! Back we went for a veal dish and another pizza, and again we were happy. Wait staff is good. No complaints from us!

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
