The concierge at our hotel recommended San Marco to us. After a grueling day of Roman sight-seeing (!!) we were tired and hungry. We really wanted a good pizza in a nice restaurant. San Marco was mentioned immediately, and it was a five minute walk from our hotel. We will repeat what you have already read here: the pizza was... More

We went here for dinner once but was tempted to go back again and again! Modern restaurant, really clean. Huge pizza menu (red and white) but also a great range of nibbles and starters. We had a Parma ham pizza and a vegetable pizza, both scrummy. We also had a delicious side salad and arrancini. You can see the pizza... More

We had a pizza and watched it being cooked in the oven . It was excellent. The tiramisu was also very good. The service was friendly and fast. This is a large restaurant and because we were early it was nearly empty which could make the rating better than if it was busy. On my visit it was brilliant.

Bustling restaurant atmosphere with soccer on several screens throughout what is a vast establishment. Had the pizza which was served without fanfare but was really good. Average wines, not too expensive. We returned a second time and were seated in a room in the back which also had a soccer match playing! Recommend for a good value quick bite only.

First and for all, I can't judge the pizza's as I haven't tried it yet. Pizzeria San Marco is a nice and modern looking place, the service is at the level expected in a good restaurant (even if sometimes it gets little sloppy). The food is good, nothing fancy or jaw dropping, but nice prepared and serviced. I'have enjoyed both... More

Food, service and venue were of a very high standard and not "over the top" in price. Typically, a dinner for two with a bottle of wine was around an average of €50 as apposed to the Via Veneto (2 minutes walk) where you can pay €20 for a pint of beer and a glass of wine!

The San Marco was recommended by our hotel as being within easy walking distance. It was also #1 on their list of restaurants, with a 4 rating from Trip Advisor (on their sheet.) We were not disappointed. My wife had an excellent salad, modified with a grilled chicken breast on top instead of their printed menu item. I had an... More

The pizza is excellent, and the pasta is fresh and creative. We put ourselves into the waiter's hands for one meal and he produced a marvelous pesto pasta. Relaxed, good food, with a comfortable cafe along the sidewalk, on a quiet street. It quickly became one of our favorites in Rome.

So the food was good not outstanding : 3.5 stars would be fair rating Like many Italian places with tourists they put a bread basket on your table and charge you for it whether you want it or not We had a salad ( which was a salad) and mista di salume ( sliced cured meats ) there was a... More
