Staying in Rome

Modern, not 'authentic'. Being from Florida I guess I have a penchant for produce and the lunch salad with delicious, fresh (not canned or pickled) artichokes and smoked salmon which was terrific. The salad greens were the best I've had in Italy--like I picked them from my own garden. I had... read more

Got recommended this place from our hotel - visited at 1.30pm on a Friday and full of business people. Table service was ok but waited 45 minutes for our mains. OTT charge for water too. Pizza was very disappointing

My husband and I ate here twice because the food was good and it was very close to the hotel where we were staying...until we discovered Miscellanea near the Pantheon. After that, we happily traded trekking a few miles for better food and value. My husband did enjoy his pizza at San Marco and I was happy that they offered... More

The prices are a bit higher than in some other pizzerias (12 EUR a soup, approx 10 EUR a pizza, 12 EUR a pasta dish) but this place also offers a much wider choice (also fresh fish dishes, many different desserts including fresh fruit....macedonia salad (mix of fresh fruit about 8 EUR) - yes, it is a bit higher than... The atmosphere and prices were really great here, but we were really blown away by the food! IT WAS AMAZING! The calzones are HUGE and so is the pizza! The salads were nice and fresh as well. We were so happy with our first experience we went back there for our final meal in Rome. However, our last night our... More

menu is in Italian,English and French. Pizza is ok, beer cold, salad fresh. Place is busy with locals, kids and some tourists. The sorbet made with pistachio was especially good. Close to the Borghese gardens and the top of Via Veneto. Would go again

Pasta and pizza were very good. Wine list very good. There was a mix of locals and tourists eating lunch here. The atmosphere is a bit modern and stark, it has the feel of a high end cafeteria. You can see the pictures online. The service was "ok", efficient, but our waiter seemed bored and wasn't very friendly. The other... More

I highly recommend this place. I had artichokes to start and veal scaloppine. Recommended by our waiter. So good. The artichokes were delicious in light olive oil. GO HERE.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
