I was so excited to introduce our Circa Travel group of 8 to Trattoria der Pallaro. Signora has mixed it up a bit since we were last there and believe me, she didn't disappoint. Antipasto was scrumptious (who knew lentils could be so divine?), pasta perfect, and meat from heaven. We could have all been quite happy with the beautiful... More

My daughter and I ate here a couple of years ago - twice during the same visit. This time we went with the whole family. There is a good variety and an abundance of food. I think we may have been the only customers who ate absolutely everything they served. The meat course was perhaps not the best, but all... More

My friend and I went here on our first night in room after reading about this restaurant in Rick Steves' book and reading reviews on trip advisor. We should've taken into consideration that last two reviews which were the most accurate. We were both looking forward to having a real/ authentic Roman meal, but instead left feeling dissatisfied and ripped... More

I went here in 2003 when it had fewer tables and I couldn't wait to go back in 2012. Mama was still adorable (and somehow hasn't aged), but I was disappointed with the food this time. $25 per person, $15 for kids. You get what Mama serves (part of the fun). Everything was either bland or salty. Veal was chewy,... More

Once upon a time it was a interesting place and very autentic. But something has happend and it has ended up as a parody on it self. Ten years after my first visit they are still serving the same fixed menu - only the price is much higher and the co-eaters nowadays are not italians but americans, danes and japanese.... More

The 25 Euro fixed-price menu is the only choice. It includes eight courses prepared by Ms. Fazi. The restaurant is hard to find, and the setting is quite simple. However, it provides decent home style Italian food at good value. Our dinner included antipasto, a veal dish, and dessert, as well as bread, mineral water, and half a liter of... More

One of the best if not the best Roman meals I've ever had. For a very reasonable 26 euros per person. Fantastic antipasta, Pasta, Secondi, and Primi dessert and Vino. A very special experience. More

This well located, though hard to find, trattoria serves only a fixed meal each day through at least 4 courses so be hungry and have lots of time. You will be treated to what seems like endless antipasti -- all delicious and in season --, pasta, a meat course, more vegetables (all wonderfully prepared), and dessert. Our March meal included... We visited this restaurant last week when we were in Rome. There are a lot of chefs in Rome, but after a while, what you really want is food from a cook. A really, really good cook. That's what this place does best. For 25 Euros per person you get a fantastic 4 course home cooked meal. It probably isn't... More
