Great Find - Very Reasonably Priced.

We didn't want to leave the area of our hotels, and came upon this place - we didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. The staff was very nice. There were locals as well as tourists dining - and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. The décor was average, a bit on the... read more

Visited on our last meal on Rome and have to say wish had come earlier. Lovely staff and food. Does seem like a fine dining restaurant but waiters were very friendly and helpful in suggesting what to eat. Bill was reasonable as well, but main thing was food was excellent. Best meal I had in Rome and better than the... More

We had dinner at this place two nights in a row, while spending the weekend in Rome. The food is very good, traditional Italian cuisine - spaghetti, pasta, fish and seafood, meat (no pizza though, which wasn't missed at all). Also tried the antipasti buffet which is incredible - the vegetables, fish, onions, olives and more were so fresh and... More

This restaurant is popular with people from the opera across the street, nearby banks and businesses, so reserve if you are going to arrive after 7:15 for dinner. It is said also to be very popular at lunch. No wonder! The white-tablecloth restaurant has a delightfully traditional aspect, very courteous and friendly (but not too chummy) waiters, good bread and... More

After a tough day, we decided to go to this restaurant. I enjoyed the serving times, drinks were cheap and food in general was good. I do recommend it, you have to try it!

We went back to this restaurant 2 years after we went there with my son. We had good memories of being there before. The food was good and the service was great.

Menu is wide and offers a lot from italian traditions. I went for a basic lasagne which did not disappoint. My wife had matriciana and, easy guess, was the best dish of our meal. House wine was good and the service quite efficient.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
