Great local food

You could tell it was a popular place as the restaurant was completely full the whole time we ate lunch. I got the cacio e pepe and my husband got gnocchi. Both were excellent!

Terrible service! Booked but still had to wait for ages to get a table, rude waiter, waited at least 20 mins for food, then pretty much the same for the bill. Veggie's hell on top of that, they were supposed to have fish and seafood - only have it 3/4 days /week- was told that they couldn't serve it and... More

This place has very friendly staff and the food is very tasty and good value, although it is rather rustic and definitely not fine dining. We found the house wine acceptable and very reasonably priced. We were also given freebies after a couple of nights eating there.

Our B&B owner recommended this local restaurant just down the road from our accommodation. I liked that it was patronized mostly be locals. We did make a booking, but dont think this is always necessary. We received excellent service with astute recommendations on meal and wine choice, and the prices were very reasonable. The bruschetta with soft white cheese and... More

This restaurant is tied with another restaurant as our favorite in Italy. It's close to the Pantheon and feels "off the beaten path." Excellent food with good, fresh ingredients. Many items seem to be family recipes. The cooks & staff were very friendly. We got to meet the main chef. Tourists seem to pass over it because it isn't "flashy"... More

Nice restaurant located not so far from the Trevi Fountain, but aside enough to sit in cozy and quite surroundings. Tasty fresh food, many dishes to choose, good house white wine. We've been serviced right away and the food was served pretty quick even that there were many customers. Not expensive.

Went there on a rainy evening, suggested by a guidebook. Good choice. In the center of Rome, but no tourists - all locals. The food was very good, the service prompt and very helpful. The restaurant was crowded - tables very close one to another, so we talked with the people next to us. Very nice indeed.

Very original in terms of staff, food, atmosphere and other guests. That night we were certainly the only tourists in this small but cosy restaurant. Only went to it because we couldn't get in elsewhere, but boy was it worth it. Real Roman cuisine at its best. A real gem.

Reasonably priced rustic Osteria. Not fancy but really nice food. The wine was excellent. Right in the centre of town between the pantheon and piazza novona- and not a tourist trap. Feels authentic and family run.

We discovered this restaurant from reading Rick Steve's book. The food and service were on spot. This is truly a mom and pop run restaurant with a festive atmosphere, and pleasant traditional décor. If you're wanting to try true Italian food, this is your place. Service was great, and so were the various pasta dishes we ordered. There is a... More
