We stopped by Ciampini (near the top of the Spanish Steps) for an early bite. Just had the gelato sampler and a bottle of prosecco. The view is wonderful, and the gelato divine. Our waiter brought us a little plate of appetizers, which were also very tasty.

I had a friend take me to this restaurant for dinner, her husband made the reservation. The menu includes the traditional 4 courses for dinner. However, our waiter suggested we get a starter and pasta and see if we had room for the main course. Because, you HAVE to get the dessert. It was a special small chocolate lava cake... More

I feel sorry for the chef -- the meal my wife and I had this evening was excellent. The appetizers and the main courses were well prepared and delicious. The service, however, was nonexistent -- long waits for everything. We were going to order dessert, but so much time elapsed that we decided to pass on that. Well prepared food... More

The food was great, the location and views are great, the service and staff were fantastic - highly recommended! We liked it so much we went there 3 times... More

My husband and I were looking for some place special to celebrate his birthday the evening of June 28. We went to Ciampini's and loved it. Our dinner included the Italian antipasto; everything on the plate was exceedingly fresh and delicious. We chose their Roman pasta as our first plate and it was fabulous, created out of freshly made egg... More

Ok so it was our first night in Rome it was 10.30pm so late to eat but the restaurant was busy and we saw people were still being served pasta and main courses so we asked for a table, the waiter umm'd and ahh'd then seated us (we should have gotten the message!) he said the kitchens were closing soon...
