View from Gazebo great, food fine

Friendly waiters and nice menu. Waiters forgot our wine and gave wrong salad, Were apologetic. View is fantastic and is nice both day and night. Not inexpensive but not over-priced.

It was so hot the four of us had mostly cold food - ham and melon, cold pasta salad with beans and veg, and dessert with mineral water. The food was tasty and served nicely, but the air conditioning wasn't working too well so it was quite hot inside, and the bill was well over EUR100.

My husband and I are in Rome for our honeymoon, and were slightly nervous about eating dinner here based on some of the negative reviews, however it was recommended to us, so we gave it a go. Yes its a little on the pricery end for some, however, the wait staff was awesome to us, even though we didnt speak... More

We stopped here after visiting the Spanish Steps. Quick tip on directions in case Google maps makes it hard -- top of steps, go left and the place is on left about 30 meters down. We were very casual (shorts) and they welcomed us with open arms. We also sat in the casual area on east side ( I think).... More

Stumbled upon this place near the top of the Spanish steps and was skeptical because I thought it would be a tourist trap, but my wife said she had a feeling it would be good so we went in...and it was great. The atmosphere was fantastic - felt a lot like a new York W hotel except outdoors, with modern... More

Read the reviews and decided to go with a bunch of travel mates when our cruise ship docked at Rome two weeks ago, since it was easy to find. Big mistake! One we started to speak English, we were done. We were seated and given only English menus. Guess what? The prices where 40% higher than what was published on... More

Maybe that should read "heaven" in Rome...the food is outstanding, the service is 5 star, the atmosphere - a quiet oasis in the midst of the bustle of Rome. For dessert, try their secret chocolate family recipe. The price... very reasonable for Rome. Service is included, no cover. Well, we ate their two nights ... If I were in Rome... More

Considering the area we weren't expecting too much. We had the buffalo mozzarella and tomatoe salad to start which was fantastic. For mains I had a pasta dish with wild boar ragu, whilst my wife had a crunchy suckling pig. Both were fantastic. Would recommend it if your nearby.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
