Our lunch was truly great here. The setting is great - above the Spanish Steps with nice views and a gentle breeze. We had mussels, caprese salad, red shrimp salad and the beef carpaccio. All of it was super fresh and well prepared. The servers were very friendly and helpful too! Our bill came to 81 Euro. Not cheap but... More

Situated close to the top of the Spanish Steps, follow the street about 150 m to the left after ascending to the top. The restaurant is divided in a pizzeria and a restaurant area. We came 6 persons, without a reservation, but after a bit of organizing they found us a table in the pizzeria. The pizzas and desserts were... More

Ciampini was recommended to us by the person we rented our apartment from. She has good taste. The setting near the top of the spanish steps is about perfect. We watched the sunset over the rooftops while we enjoyed our dinner. We had a great bottle of wine. The turtles were a big hit with the kids. I will definitely... More

I have visited the Ciampini many times and always had an enjoyable meal in a lovely location overlooking the rooftops of Rome near, but not too near, the Spanish Steps. The food here is always good and although the service can be patchy, it is still a good experience overall. The pastas are always good although the salted, toasted focaccia... More

The food was SO SO good, that we ate the tiramisu in seconds...and they brought us another one immediately, free of charge. Sat outside with our Aunt & Uncle, and enjoyed a very long and outstanding evening of all kinds of food. Highly recommend it, as you can enjoy a quieter environment since it is located on the Lorenzo Piazza.

I had a salad Nicoise for lunch, and maybe that was not the best choice. Ok and not so expensive, but I'va had many better nicoises. The scallops my boyfriend ate were a better choice. The place was nice and staff was fast and friendly. Ok, and a nice location.

A restaurant steeped on Roman restaurant family history this outlet being run by a grandson following on in the family tradition. Just up past the stunning Spanish steps, live turtles relaxing in a central water feature. Roof top views of Rome. Lovely dried foracchio in the bread basket. Bread encrusted turbot and scallops with turnip tops, bread crumbs and rosemary... More

We cam to eat Ice cream here after getting recommendations for this place. it seems like a simple coffee place but if you go inside there is a small Ice cream stand. DON'T SKIP THIS ICE CREAM. a big cone is 3.5 euro - go for Chocolate, Lemon and Crema. Ask for whipped cream - it's delicious and free.

This restaurant was recommended to us in one of our travel guides and it ended up being a very great experience. Although we arrived early evening without a reservation (the kitchen doesn't open until 7:30 p.m.), they found a table for us. It really seemed like reservations were preferred and almost expected by the staff. The first waiter was not... More

Large restaurant consisting of a bar area, a more formal restaurant area and a less formal dining area located right beside the Spanish Steps (at the top). A fine view out over Rome, and a great little sun-trap in the evening too, although extensive awnings etc., provide welcome shade. Friday night is pizza night, but the full restaurant menu is...
