A Memorable Moment

We fell upon this gem while walking to the Pantheon early one evening. Located on a small, quiet, classy square. Sat down at open, quiet, non-smokey outside tables with heaters for a little Happy Hour stop. Friendly attentive waiters guided us to a couple of glasses of one the finest red wines of... read more

You cannot miss a breakfast early in the am when tourists have not been around yet with few local Romans Great cappuccino and pastries. Service is not brilliant, maybe waiters have been spoilt by rich tourists but it is a memorable place with a memorable breakfast.

Best pizza we had in Rome - although we were only there a few days. Lasagna was tasty but a little small. Overall a nice place and a tasty lunch.

When in Rome, Ciampini is the place for gelato. I have yet to find anything close. Go there, enough said, enjoy.

Central location, with outside seating on the piazza. Staff are quite curt and rude. However, the gelato is very good. You have to go inside and towards the back to find it. It is not displayed like the touristy ones you see everywhere in Rome centre. Gelato is stored in metal containers (as they should be) and the flavours available... More

one of the best gelatos in Rome. Try the tiramisu and enjoy the piazza! Prices are ok, pretty much the same around Rome. And is a more quieter and enjoyable place to be then Piazza di Spagna and other sights around. The food is ok, but is worth sitting just to feel the environment.

We tried the gelato at Ciampini based on positive online reviews. Selection of flavour are adequate but not generous here. We saw mostly "standard" flavour and nothing too "exotic". Service was average and it seems like the lady who served us was a little grumpy. Gelato was good. But because we tried many other top rated gelateria, so I wouldn't... More

Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
