We've tried a number of restaurants in Rome but none rivals this place. From the food to the service, everything was impeccable. We actually tried their gelato before we discovered they had a restaurant just diagonal to it.Their gelato were very unique and innovative while remaining absolutely delicious. The mini-cones and the heart-shaped gelatos were rather pricey but they were worth every euro spent... Yes the food was good. I had the spaghetti cace peppe and it was good, not great. The service was indifferent, like they knew I wouldn't be back (they're right) and they didn't care. If you are hungry and walking the via del corso and you stop here, it's ok but not great, and since you're in Rome you want... More

The little chicken salad sandwiches are the best..especially after a jet lag flight. I get an iced tea and walk to the back and sit by the window and watch the world go by.

Located next to Via del Courso, after some shopping a great place to have a meal and a gelato. Awesome ambiance. We sat outside.

Easily Rome's best gelato. I've been around a few of the famous ones in Rome and this is the best. My recommended flavours are: 1. Creme Custard (to die for!!), 2. hazelnut 3. pistachio.

The flavour options at Ciampini are very limited and are your standard fare i.e. chocolate, coffee, banana etc, but man, oh man, do they execute them well. The creaminess achieved with the gelato here is unparalleled in my opinion. It is gorgeous. The only thing more I could ask of Ciampini is more flavours! Yum, yum, yum!!! Two other great... More

I have tried all the high end , famous gelataria and we always come back here for delicious gelato. The Pistachio and chocolate are divine.

I was tired after shopping so stopped by for an Aperol Spritz. The drink came with olives, pistachios & little pizzas & sandwiches. I didn't need dinner that night. Recommended as they have great gelato too. Really La Dolce Vita!

If you're exhausted of walking between Rome's most popular piazzas and you need a place to eat, Ciampini is definitely your best option. We had an amatriciana and a garbonara, both delicious plates. Service was friendly and the piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina is a great and quiet ( some times ) place to enjoy your food. The good thing... More
