Great happy hour spot

Excellent variety of beer and great atmosphere :) we had the saison and the Blanche. The bar staff are really friendly. The prices are about 6 euro for a beer but they are delicious. We didn't eat but the menu looks great and reasonable prices. We took our beer to go and sat by nearby fountain.

Put this on your list of beverage visits, multitude of taps with beer bar varietals. Tapas menu is contemporary and a good match up with the experience. Located in a alleyway with similar elk, even better when Roma is playing soccer in regards to a live atmosphere. Google map finder or a thorough hard map will help you find the... More

This place reminded me of places like Moeder Lambic Fontainas in Brussels. Long, narrow passage that opens up to a seated dining area. Great variety of beers on tap, most of them produced in Italy. Would recommend beers from Hammer brewery. Food was average, but hit the spot to allow us to continue drinking. Pizzas are better than the rest... More

The beer was excellent, the food was good, and the atmosphere was a bit hectic. Sidewalk dining on a narrow street, busy with pedestrians and motor cycles/scooters in the middle of Trastevere should not include an expectation of a relaxed, quiet dinner. It was fun Roman experience.

This place is located amongst lots of bars and restaurants. It has several beers on tap and a hipster vibe. Though, I asked for a beer menu and it was in Italian no English beer menu. Choosing a beer was a bit difficult due to the language barrier. Plenty to choose from if you can decipher the menu. Bar tenders... More

Awesome selection of amazing beers. 36 on tap. 30 of those on CO2 and 6 were naturally pressured draught. We will go again

We had the best pizza ever in Bir & Fud. My friend had the Carminocchio with the pork belly. Amazing! We can only advise everyone who wants to visit Rome and Trastevere to come here. But i'd suggest to make reservations in advance because everybody want to eat here.

Small cozy place in Trastevere quarter. Beer selection is great. A bit pricey. The menu is in Italian only, and the bartenders were not very patient to explain. In the evening is very crowded, and not very convenient to sit, only few stools outside, inside is almost claustrophobic. Still worth a visit for beer lovers.

I discovered Bir & Fud my last night in Italy. I love IPAs but could find one anywhere from Paris to Amsterdam and throughout Italy. I just happened to be walking by Bir & Fud so I decided to give it a try. To my delight the had several IPAs and they were all fantastic! If you don't like IPAs... More

Bir&fud ... Cool name, cool location, cool beer. The food was nice, the choice of beer - embarrassingly big, the place - relaxing. But ... Why should there be a 'but' you'd say. And you are right there shouldn't but there is. The service did not make me feel comfortable. Maybe we were just unlucky to have a waitress in... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
