Watch Pizza Being Made

Nice service; frequented by local Italians who seemed to know the owner(s). Varied menu including green salads which are difficult to find in Italy.

Recommended to check out this restaurant from our hotel (Relais 6, fantastic place). Was so delicious and so fresh. We were only in Rome for 2 nights and I wish we had eaten here both nights! A little on the pricier side but it seems worth it as you can tell the food is made with love and care.

Recommended by our hotel, we chose to eat twice here. Pepe Verde is a quaint Italian restaurant, Pizzeria, cafe, with so much menu choice it's amazing. On our first night, we enjoyed seafood. On our second, pasta dishes. The staff were pleasant & friendly. They make & bake their own pizzas, and as we are finding out, many cafes use... More

Off the recommendation of our amazing hotel (relias 6), we went. From appetizer to last course, we were delighted. Brie, speck, pear crostini. Lovely. Two pizzas, one of note being the namesake Pepe Verde. So unbelievably exciting. Plain, simple, but with bright notes of the hidden green peppercorns. We also got a bottle of wine and two beer. Overall price... More

I had the best risotto of my life here. Walnuts, gorgonzola and pear, it was melt in the mouth and great value. Sadly they really were unappreciative of me and my friends not being locals, one of my group is Italian and understood everything they were saying about us to the other clients. We were made to feel so very... More

you need to try the homemade pasta - very good and typically italian. This is not a very touristic area so you find a lot of local people there. Staff could be a bit more friendly and welcome to the guest.

Not upscale, and actually super-inexpensive, and the food was superb, as was the house white wine. I had a perfect trofiette Genovese al pesto, small twisted pasta with just the right amount of salt, garlic and basil pesto. Went home grinning from ear to ear!

We arrived late into Rome and this was the closest place to where we were staying and was recommended by the host we were staying with. The pizzas were very good and contrary to what other reviewers have put, the staff were great! Their English was limited but the English menu helped bridge the gap. Only gave 4 stars because... A nice place to eat, and the food was good. Maybe not the smallest and most romantic restaurant in Rome. But a good place to go if you want a good meal. The pizza was very good!

The restaurant is near a Mercure hotel and tempts to visit, but do not do it. If you do it will be the worst experinece from Rome, not for meal, which is pretty average, but because of the bad owner behaviour. He even tried to charge us about 20 euro more than we ordered. I repeate, do not visit this... More
