My husband & I visited this restaurant in mid March while touring with our group traveling with Gate 1 Travel. We found this "out of the way" restaurant several blocks from the hotel and down a small alley way and decided to try it out. We knew it had a buffet in the back but decided to just order from... Typical touristic place, very average food and overpriced. The service is rubbish, arrogant and unprofessional. Avoid, go to "il girasole" next door instead

We wandered in here last night on the way back from the train station. It looked and was catering primarily to the locals which was an attraction to us. We were seated quickly in the rear room and essentially had the place to ourselves. We were bemused when the sole other client was seated an elbow away given there were... More

Was in Rome with a friend for five days in mid-December. On the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel, we came here for dinner our first night. Food was good, the service attentive, and the atmosphere warm and friendly - the kind of place where you can make a comment to the person at the next table about his... More

Went to this restaurant with my girlfriend just for a nice cheaper type meal. It was a lovely restaurant, feels like a family home. The staff were friendly, gave us some banter, which I liked. Food was again very homely, could do with larger portions though. House wine was a bit naff, but hey, if you order a whole litre... More

We stopped by on a chilly late December evening and liked the homey ambiance of the place, even though it can feel a bit cramped. The pasta with mushrooms was excellent, while the mixed seafood grill was variable - the swordfish was overcooked, but the squid and shrimp were delicious. Overall, a good dining experience.

We had dinner on January 6 in four, I think the management has changed, because the kitchen is the most sought after, but not always tavern and gourmet ...... luckily, we had four anitpasti mixed very abundant and tasty, well done, then my first four Amatriciana, that I will not ever escape, was very well seasoned and just the right... Passing through Rome, it was decided to go at this restaurant to try these vaunted fettuccine with porcini mushrooms. We must say that we were not disappointed. Personal youth but really courteous and ready to advise. For our choice of courses (all different to try) was all great. Price is fair and in the media. Definitely sweets prepared from them... More

I went to this restaurant with a friend of mine. I decided to go for the Carbonara and was very pleased with my choice. The pasta was perfectly cooked- al dente-, it was very creamy and delicious! I must say that everything else that I tasted was beautifully presented and delicious. Our waiter Fabrizio was also great! He helped us... More

We recently had a Sunday lunch for 2 at this restaurant. Unfortunately they charged a table of 4's bill to our credit card and we did not notice the mistake until we got home. We notified them immediately of the error and despite receiving an email to acknowledge the mistake have done nothing at all to rectify it. Have called... More
