Just about 5 minutes off the Pantheon in Rome. Crowded and full of Chinese tourists and quite pricey! But worth the experience as the range is different from the other parlours.

A world of ice-cream... you can't eat all you wish to taste. A historical place, attentive and polite service especially by older waiter, old style decoration.

We were recommended to try this ice cream and we weren't disappointed. I can definitely say that this is the best ice cream that we have ever had. It wasn't manic but very easy to get a ticket and queue for a couple of minutes.

Many ppl chose dark choco, some go for riso. The fig flavor is very special and good in taste too. Many guidebooks talk about this gelateria, so we came and no disappointment. Maybe it's of low season, we followed other customers to sit outside without paying extra despite there were notices saying that we, cone consumers, are not allowed at... More

Our Roman friends told us about Giolitti. Luckily, we still had time to go there in the morning, before heading off to the airport. The ice cream was delicious, only "problem" was to make the selection, among the many flavours available. The "good news" is that we had 5 different flavours, as for the "bad news", more than 60 remain... More

Giolitti's gelato is unreal. The Nutella gelato is thick and rich and unlike any gelato/ ice cream ice ever had before. My fiancé and I were traveling through Rome and visited this place way too many times! YUM! Home made waffle cones, too! You MUST go here!!!

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
