I had one of the best meals that I have ever had at this restaurant. It is small with great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We were not rushed, even though on this Friday night, there was a line of about 20 people waiting outside. It was worth the wait to them. I know why!!! There were three... More

We've been visiting this restaurant for over a dozen years and it remains the most wonderful for traditional Roman cooking. We often begin with a dozen or more antipasti (the Carciofi Guidica is perfect), followed by their not to be surpassed Spaghetti Carbonara. There is simply nothing like it in the world. Over the years I've also had excellent Ossobucco,... More

The flavours were just right. Portions were large. Service was very professional. Very good value for the money. Suggest you make reservations, as the place is popular. You can also leave your personal comment on the wall. Fun to read all these comments.

My husband and I were in Rome last month and this restaurant was recommended by my niece. She did not steer us wrong. The antipasto was fabulous. I had osso bucco and loved it. Tiramisu is delightful. She lived the suckling pig. Service is friendly and efficient and prices are reasonable.

Hostaria Romana is one of my preferred place in Roma. You can have a dinner based on the Roman Cuisine traditional dishes followed by a very helpful staff (must say their English skills could be improved). Courtesy and sympathy is anyway an ingredient that can complement your dinner. I did few business dinner in the Hostaria too and it always... More

Friends advised us to find this restaurant. It was raining, but found it and found it to be a wonderful experience. We sat down stairs looking at the kitchen - so was warm and inviting. The food was outstanding, wine the best and had a wonderful talk with wife of owner. If we lived closer !!! we would certainly eat... More

The restaurant came highly recommended by Rick Steve and the concierge in my hotel. First time I went was about 6:15 pm. The place was closed and we were told that it would open at 7:20 pm. It was raining so I did not care to wait and went to a cafe near my hotel. Second try, I went at... More

popular so get a reservation. Of all the neighborhood places we tried near our hotel St Petris we like this one the best. Overall better food even though menus were similar at other nearby places. Had a really good osso bucco there. All ala carte so could be pricy if you order three courses which seems to be the tradition... More

My husband and I showed up up at 7, 15 minutes before the restaurant opened and waited in line along with 10 others. We were excited to try this restaurant based on the glowing reviews from trip advisor. We were immediately seated and were escorted to a section by the bathroom after the waiter asked if we had a reservation... More
