Great food

If you want to eat very well with a right price. Gently staff. Spaghetti all'amatriciana and home appetizers. Abbacchio good wine. What more?

Good place, tucked away on a side street. The staff were friendly - I'd recommend booking a table if you want to eat between 12 and 3. The food is great and the place isn't that big. In order to avoid waiting, definitely reserve ahead of time.

We have been dining here for many years. Easy walking from Piazza Barberini, Spanish Steps area and Via Veneto. Typical busy dining area, with people eating and having a good time. An excellent "Rome" dining choice. The white anchovies were SOO delicious. Anything you order here, is so right on. Busy place. We always make advance reservations.

Although the title is hyperbole (I've only visited a few places in Rome), I would HIGHLY recommend going here for dinner!!! I asked a guard at the Quirinale (when in Rome, ask the Romans! :-) ) to recommend a place to eat, and was sent here. Excellent food, excellent wines, and the service is simply the best!! The waiters are... More

Our hotel was right across the street. We had read the positive reviews for Hostaria Romana and looked forward to dining there. We could see a line forming around 7:30pm and wandered over. While most people had reservations, we had no problem being seated. The host was very nice and found a table for us in a small downstairs room.... More

We had lunch here and after a formal business meeting it is as we were thrown in the vibrant and loudly soul of the city. Waiters couldn't help making light jokes with customers, calling dishes from one side of the dining room and the walls filled up with people messages. The last one is a sort of tradition in Rome's... It was ok. We found the food to be very salty. My mom and I both had the carbonara and a cousin the spaghetti and clams and all thought it was too salty. Mediocre but NOT bad!!

We had a two week trip in Italy and have been to some michelin stared restaurants, but this place was by far our best experience!!! Amazing classical dishes with great service and low prices!!! You cannot go to Rome without eating here. Make sure you make a reservation in advance.

Make a reservation or you will not get it. We had dinner there twice. The food was excellent, the place is vibrant and the atmosphere very casual. We absolutely loved this place. Do give it a try.

Thank Maria B

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
