This is a great little spot. Classic tavern, nothing too sexy, but definitely a very welcoming locals' hang out. The setting is a rugby theme (maybe the owner played). While I was there, the tavern had a €25 meal that is great for an American and it appeared the locals were eating the same. The staff have a great sense... More

We found this restaurant in the Lonely Planet Guide and although a fair walk decided to try it. Liked the idea that it would be full of locals as opposed to tourists. One female member of staff was good and spoke good English but the other staff were rude and clearly wanted us out as quick as possible. I appreciate... More

While walking around to get acquainted with the neighbourhood our rental apartment was located (not far from the Vatican), we noticed this closed (during the day) Osteria. Some days passed...and when 2 friends from London flew over for the weekend...we went searching for a place for dinner that's not touristy. We recalled this osteria, look a chance and went by... We found the guide in the DK pocketguide of Rome. The restaurant offers a daily menu with limited choice of dishes, we know this concept and like it as we experienced it at various restaurants and Agriturismi in Italy. The antipasti was reasonable but very basic (everyone can make it). The other three courses were dissapointing. Besides, the waiters were... More

My Rome travel book recommended this trattoria, so a few of us went here for lunch on a Friday. There were tables available when we arrived at about 12:30, but it filled up with mostly tourists and some locals. We were impressed by the atmosphere and decor. There is no menu. The paper table mat listed the prices - 7€... More

Very cosy atmosphere and local cuisine. I've rarely eaten such great italian food and the prizes are extremely reasonable. I would certaintly recommend it to anyone (friends and family) visiting Rome

We were in the neighborhood for 2 following days. Found this restaurant on lonely planet's recommendation. It was a little bit of a walk for us from St. Peter's cathedral since we were both tired. When we walked in, it was already around 2:30pm. It was close to their seista, but they were still very welcoming. We order 2 pasta... More

Took a 4 hour train from Venice just to go back to this place! Great staff, good atmosphere & amazing food! The cheese balls wrapped in bacon are the best!

Maybe if you're a local and you understand how this restaurant works, it would be better. We went for lunch, our first meal in Rome. Normally I expect to get a menu and select from it. We waited for quite a while, then the waiter came by and told us the 4 different kinds of pasta they have. No menu... More

Amazing authentic Italian restaurant. Awesome bruschetta toasted over hot coals. So full by the end of the meal...and a bargain for Rome.
