nice lunch in very nice atmosphere

Just around a corner of Piazza Campo De Fiori, there is fine restaurant with cool vibe, with smiley and fast staff. I saw few italian families in restorante, so we chose to take a chance after long walk from Vaticano. Tabels are comfortable and clean, just as much as toilet (important thing for... read more

Good Roman food in a building that is over the ruins of Pompey's 1st century BC theater. You can eat in the basement among the ruins. Food was outstanding and they put up with a fussy 9 month old baby. Very nice place for either lunch or dinner.

We arrived for dinner after reading the reviews. The place was empty and we were the only customers all evening. Actually, it already says it all about the kitchen and the variety and freshness which prepare the food. It was cold. Very cold and not made anyeffort to warm it despite our request. The food was simple and totally not... More

The resturant is situated in a great area near the Campo di Fiori. The menu is vast, the food and service is good. The place is build in the old ruins of the Pompey Theatre. The staff will offer a leaflet with the details of the ruins.

The menu is nice, food is good, service is good, location is convenient to many Rome attractions. However, the best part of this restaurant is the basement. There is a stair well going down to the basement near the restrooms. Down there are ruins. We had lunch here with our tour guide and while the food was being prepared she... More

Da Pancrazio is an old established restaurant built over the ruins of the Theatre of Pompey with its own tiny museum down in the vaults. It is exactly four paces across from the door of the apartment we stayed in, and on the only wet night we had in Rome, it was an obvious choice for dinner! We had no... More

Not only does this restaurant have authentic archeological ruins the food is great. We found this place in 2001 and return every time we come back to Rome. A little off the Campo di Fiori square makes for a quiet lunch or dinner.

Our recent dinner here was our second since we first discovered this restaurant on our earlier trip in August. The relatively quiet piazza is perfect place for an outdoor evening meal. I had the pasta dish with clams on both occasions and it was fabulous. My wife had a clam pasta special which was different than mine. She said it... More

Paulo made 15 lovely english ladies very welcome when we were in Rome to celebrate my 50th Birthday. When we arrived the evening was very warm so they immediately moved us to a cooler table, then they suprised me with complimentary prosecco as a birthday treat. The staff were so attentive, wthout being in our faces and teh food was... More

Just got back from our fifth trip to Italy. My wife and I had dinner here and we would never come back. Food is routine fare and unenjoyable. This is a tourist place.
